If Coast Guard wanted to move up, would you add them into the ACC?

If they had a century long tradition sure...but no. Army and Air Force would be awesome. Good for political clout too.

Isn't Coast Guard's attendance less than 1,000. Plus, UConn probably does not want another FBS school in state.

I was stationed at the Academy 27 years ago and I remember game day being less impressive than my po dunk high school in NC on Friday night. It's a very good academic institution with very little focus on sports.

The Coast Guard is affiliated with Homeland Security. I wouldn't in any sense of the word consider them a Service Academy 05-stirthepot

The AAC should instead consider teams from The Texas Penal System.

Fwiw, The Air Force has only been around for about 70 years. If The American was concerned about improving golf though, they should be the first call.

And the military academies aren't? If Army, Air Force and Navy football dropped to the Patriot League, would anyone notice? Would a large number of military personnel care?

I'm sure if there was a transition period, Coast Guard would be a fine FCS program with 25-35K attendance, granted the tradition is not there like the main branches.

The AAC could always add The Citadel or VMI.

CGA isn't ever transitioning their sports to a higher level of competition.

Perfect fit for the AAC East footprint.

And, the Citadel did beat South Carolina last month and averages almost 10,000 in home game attendance....
