Is there any chance at all that new bowls could be added? I know Charleston is trying to get a bowl with a Sun Belt tie-in, but is there any reason to believe it will be added?

Maybe the 5-7 record stigma has been broken. Bring it on. Next stigma: 4 win teams.

Everybody gets a bowl. 128 teams equals 64 bowls.

There are three bowls "approved" for 2016 Australian, Austin and Charleston. I think Az bowl folds after this year due to lack of TV contract. My guess since the Australia is getting a 2016 early season game, that bowl is gone. I would be surprised if any network offers a TV contract to the remaining bowls. I think there will be at least one contraction next year next year to 78 teams. Unless there allow for expansion of the FBS teams, I have a feeling these bowls will not come into play until the next contract cycle.

I think new bowls are probably dead in the water for now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them attempt to eliminate some bowls....but you can bet the P5 won't lose slots.

I think 4 teams didn't get Bowls? TXST and UAB being 2 of them. Anyone else remember differently?

I would rather see competitive FCS teams picked for bowls rather than 5-7 fbs teams.

Id rather see Jacksonville State or James Madison pick up a bowl game than see 5-7 teams go

LOL at how FCS fans talk down on bowls but would probably jump at the chance to be in one....

I actually think a bowl game that pits say a sunbelt or cusa team vs fcs champion would be a good match

F the world for this not happening last year. Could have had GS and Texas State in a bowl game.

No thank you. But they would be an excellent match for Nebraska or Minnesota. Seriously.

CUSA had two bowl eligible teams last year not picked...UAB and MTSU. Ohio from the MAC was left out too. Temple from the AAC was also left out. Had Georgia Southern and App State been eligible last year, there would have been 7 bowl eligible teams sitting at home.

FCS wins against FBS teams ensured that not enough FBS teams would have six wins.
