Tribe gets a little break with UVA PG London Perrantes undergoing appendectomy early last Sunday, and won't be available on Saturday. Didn't think this was a winnable game previously, but UVA a little more vulnerable now, especially with us sandwiched in between Ohio St and West VA. Let's take advantage guys and keep building that OOC resume. Go Tribe!!

My friends say I'm crazy but I actually think we have a shot here. Daniel will have to warm up though. We need his scoring

UVA doesn't have any statistics or players who jump out at you on paper. They're just a fundamentally sound team. They haven't settled on their starters, with only two players having started every game. They seem to utilize their very deep bench, and can go really big if they need to. They also are only turning the ball over 7.6 times per game on average.

The one area I noticed that could be a challenge for the Tribe is rebounding. They're +9.6 per game in that category. They also average over 16 assists, and are averaging over 50% on their shooting as a team.

As an outsider, they seem to be a mirror image of the Tribe in style and strengths. This may come down to whether or not you guys can get hot from 3. I think you have the size to hang with them in the paint.

We need to have a game like we did at NC State or part of Dayton. Shots need to fall, but I agree that we have a shot. This is one of those things where I would never bet money on us to win, but I wouldn't be shocked if we did.

I'm not scared. The only problem is if we can't match up with their power forward. I like our chances with Tarpey.

No reason we can't beat them. Take away the Howard loss and we have a real different view of things. Howard could win 20 games this year. Their only two losses are at Rutgers by 12 and at UMass by 6. Those aren't bad teams. Daniel is averaging 29 ppg. He's the best scorer we will face in the regular season.

With the UVA point guard out for the game and them struggling, this is the kind of gam we can win, although we are deservedly under dogs.

A win in this game will start the really make me hope and sees of a season where my heart cannot be broken on a an early March Monday night.

UVA won at Ohio State last night and throttled OSU defensively most of the game. Saturday will be difficult to say the least but perhaps all those three pointers that didn't go in last night will drop Saturday.

UVA should be the best defensive team the tribe faces during the regular season. If they are able to score against them, they should be able to score on any team.

Zablenoise, you are crazy. Virginia is a whole different level from the Wolfpack. I would be thrilled if we go 1-1 Saturday. I cannot imagine 2-0, but it would be the best "double" we have had. Right now, I guess it is the win over S. Illinois coupled with the win over VCU on the same day. Yes, it was 6 years ago to the day. 12/5/09....... MAKE SOME MAGIC SATURDAY TRIBE!!!

I can't see that happening, but then I didn't see Howard either.

If I were a bettor, i'd be tempted at 15 points. UVA isn't an offensive powerhouse, and the Tribe plays under control with good defense and great movement on offense.

UVA up 8-6 at the under 16:00 break.

Tribe still hasn't made a three since Howard. Down 14-8.

Early on, too many bad passes. result of tight D. 16-8 UVA.
