Beating out the so called P5. Well done and suck it to those that think everyone is going to pick the P5 over everyone else. Love the hire. Hopefully him and white are building something special in Orlando.

Oh, he'll pick a P5 over 'everyone else' --a high level one if he has enough success. It's just easier doing it in Orlando than Syracuse. No slap meant at the Orange and I think many of them would agree.

You're a lily pad fella, it's a'right....

Good point.

The young AD Danny White made some risky hires at Buffalo and most paid off.

Glad he went "off the board" on this one...as I can't recall another Coach in FLA who had this much feedback/followers from recruits in just the first few hours than this one (and other P5 coaches too).

No on in FLA or GA or AL run an "Oregon Style" offense (Auburn tried) and its attracting a lot of attention on the recruiting trail is less than a day.

War on I-4 could become basketball on grass in a few years, with the irony being that it's two wide open, high scoring offenses that love to run the ball first.

Question is whether UCF can hire a DC as good as Tom Allen?

Your move C.Florida...

...his approach sounds a lot like USF's home grown, run first spread, aka as the Gulf Coast Offense. This rivalry is going to ascend to the next level if UCF can get good again.

the run first spread also helps in the bad weather games at places like UCONN.

The salary will be near the 2 million range. Same as O'Leary. I'm sure it goes well past 2 million with incentives. Syracuse just doesn't have the commitment.

We're going to retain Bresnahan so the other team scores quickly and we can get our offense back on the field again.

imagine the amount of LOL we would get if it was 1.2 or less

We should find out today what his contract is. I have heard that Frost turned down a higher base salary for a higher assistant staff salary pool.

Cuse's offer was actually $1.8 to 2.0M. Cuse wanted 5 years...the issue was over length of contract. Frost originally wanted just 2 years. It is believed he came up from 2 years but they couldn't settle of the number of years.

Hopefully one of the Orlando guys can ask what the length of contract is...it might be only be about 3 years.

Frost to UCF is great for the AAC.

Look for those UCF and USF recruiting battles to heat up.

My prediction is 1.5 with bonuses up to 2.

presser going on right now

he might not come to ucf till after oregons bowl...he hasnt decided

for his sake/ucf he better rethink that..with ucf current F- recruiting class and having no major ties ..giving yourself a 1.5 months to recruit instead of 2.5 is killer

Agree 100%

He should be on the road recruiting today in fact. That's how far begin UCF is.

4* QB/ATH out of Cocoa: https://twitter.com/4way_lilbruce/status...4416238593

After taking the UCF job Frost's first 2 twitter follows? UCF's AD and 5* QB Feleipe Franks (brother of a UCF WR)... maybe nothing, maybe something.

There were also other non-high profile recruits that said they're excited and reinterested in UCF after the hire.
