I fully expect that fluffy pirate undershirt Arbuckle wears to be in tatters and blowing in the wind by the 3rd Qtr.

GSU has improved no doubt, and are no longer a laughing stock. That is a good thing for us all.
However, every football game is about matchups, and GSU's defense against GS's offense is a BAD matchup, especially in Paulson. GSU will likely get some yards and may get some points although GS's defense has been REAL salty the last several games, but their defense is in a world of s--t against GS's offense on Senior Day in Paulson.
GS will win big... maybe not as bad as last year but it will still be a rout.

If we rush for 669 yards, we'll end up at an even 400 ypg rushing for the season.
That statement sounds ridiculous until you view the highlights from last season.

Why? 10% of the posters are reasonable enough to deal with. The rest is all grandstanding. And with all due respect to the 10%, it isn't worth it. I get it. Your defense is now awesome. Fine. You know we have given up 1600 FEWER yards on the ground this year. This includes playing an Oregon Duck team that kinda likes to run. What has killed us is big plays in the air compared to last year. Opposing teams already have 500 more through the air. But that could also be chalked up to opposing teams having to throw more from behind and not run out the clock. We have more sacks than we had the entire last year. We have half the fumbles we had the entire season last season. Arbuckle already has 500 more yards than all the games last season. Higher yards per pass, yards per catch, and yards per game. We have more fumble recoveries than all last season, more sacks and 10 more interceptions for our defense.
So please tell your team this will be easy. Y'all will win by 50. Or do the same thing y'all did to South Alabama. After all we only held them to less points and beat them as well. I'm sure the games will be mirror images. Oh... and y'all don't lose at Paulson. I guess it also means, no one gives us a game at Paulson, either as that is also a reason y'all will blow us out. Too bad we dont have a history of playing better on the road. But that is silly for me to bring up as GSU stats dont count here. So continue on how you are going to hang 60 more on us or beat us by 40 or more.
Maybe the guys from App do, but we don't have boots deep enough to wade through all the crap most of y'all talk. So at the end of the day, we don't.
So enjoy your week long circle jerk.

Great first impression.

Yes and no. Your game analysis is reasonable. Im thinking 44 to 34 or 28 Southern. Some where around there. But I do believe there are possibilities that State can win. After all, there is a reason they play the game.
My answer was more to Panama MIA. Go back and look at last year, even the basketball games. I tend to vanish too around Tuesday. I'd love to actually discuss the game.
But here is how that goes. A few will try to talk the game. Then someone will say tradition. Then someone else will say more to play for. Then someone will take a comment from a poster that had some snarkyness to it. Eventually the ghetto/homeless & backwoods/std gets played. Then someone brings up something Ben posted or something posted on GSUFans or this Saint dude(not of CSN relation), who i have no recollection of posted 8 years ago. Then on to grades and a casino is better for Turner. Then we will start talking crap where posters live. Of course it will start with Atlanta and Statesboro, but it will fade into ITP/OTP and then randomly about SC. At some point one school will be referred to as GSU, which will start who was the first/real one.
And when you have read various chapters of this on this site and panthertalk.com several times a year over the past 3 or so years, it just gets old. Fast.

They call that a rivalry thread.
The App/Southern thread is like the greatest hits re-run each year. You might want to get use to seeing this thread appear every year.

And for DECADES I got to hear that the real GSU was in Statesboro. We weren't even a real school, because we didn't have football from every Georgia Southern fan.
But again. I don't roll on here like everyone here was one of them. Even though probably at one point or another that talking point was posted.
I apologize on your article from 5 years ago or whenever. As for Ben, if he had to put up with half the things I'd heard the 15 years prior to our football team, I don't blame him for the article. After all, research universities, Carnegie rankings, going GSU 30 years prior weren't getting to you guys. But football... Y'all cared about.
So if you think all this started with Ben, maybe you're right on the GSU side. Understand, a lot happened before that. That was just the beginning of State being able to needle you guys.

I wish. It is my 1st anniversary. I got a real great lady who puts up with a lot(Ga State bball & football tickets, Falcons tickets, and multigame Braves, not to mention the hobby car). We had planned this trip before the schedule came out. I figured we would play in October or on Thanksgiving weekend. Not this one. I would have scheduled us to leave Sunday instead. My buddies are making it down though. I wish our damn basketball schedules would be Saturday games. I'd come down and tailgate for that too.
I'll make it next time around though. Offer stands come next year for up here. Just don't touch the bourbon... that is for medicinal purposed only.
