I'm thinking SK got under your skin a bit too much.

That's why uncontrolled trolls are bad for a board. That's what the smack board is for. I find myself coming here less and less.

It's the people that are poor at "trolling" that are the problem. Intelligent humor is entertaining. The issue is that there are suddenly a ton of folks that aren't smart enough to figure out when to turn it off/on or how to speak in satire.

Just curious, why are Houston fans so enamored with Memphis suddenly? There's no denying it, it's real...I just don't have a clue why Memphis is at the top of Cougar fans' minds so often.

Maybe. I don't find SK to be all that funny. Maybe he just posts too much these days so the quality has dropped. The anti-Memphis thing doesn't show up at any other Coog board. Its just here. I attribute it it the constant Houston trashing by SK and other trolls. Frankly, I find SK about as funny as Farmer Jack (so, not very). Bearcat#1 is much better. Frankly, I d prefer it all just go the smack board. That's what the smack board is there for.

Yep. The moderators needed to start doing their jobs weeks ago by moving all the troll/smack threads to the smack board.

If they don't start soon, this board will go straight to hell. Seen it happen before too many times.

My 16 Memphis predicttion
5-7 or 6-6

That's what you wish for, I hope you didn't just jinx your coogs. I unlike you wish all AAC teams good fortune, it's better for our universities in our conference.

Didn't see that, but he's gone. Just hope we can name a new coach sooner rather than later.

No, I don't wish anything bad for our conference comrades... Only pointing out the value Lynch brings to your team, losing him is a huge blow.

I know you're directing this to Houston fans, but I'm going to chime in anyway. Memphis fans need to crack down on SK instead of excusing his behavior. Most, dare I say 90% of Memphis fans on this board, are convinced that SK is purty funny and purty harmless. He is nothing but a know-nothing troll who's not even remotely humorous. I put him on blast some time ago, and other Memphis fans were putting ME on blast. When all I was doing was trolling SK.

We'll see how well they hire.

I would agree, if Memphis next QB was similar to Lynch, a 6'7" frame with plus average mobility that and a respectable defense.

Even if a Les Miles type was hired, still will need 2 years minimum to speedup that program back to normality... I just don't see it.

Well he's 6'4" with mobility and a strong arm. So he's prototype size. If Odom is Memphis' head coach, the defense, I would believe, gets improved.

I think it has more to do with repaying some of the trolling that Houston was getting earlier games ago, Oldtiger

Thanks for the clarification, I do appreciate it.

My takeaway from this discussion is a little more complicated than that, but you could be correct. If the level of discussion for many here is assumed to be the level of "Farmer", there is a huge gap between ability to articulate/ability to understand that I didn't realize existed. Someone like SK, who I like personally but obviously don't agree with his style, would never be understood in that community.

Hopefully, you're correct and I'm incorrect.

Short video of highlights of our next QB if Lynch is gone. He was recruited at 6'3"...UofM has him listed now at 6'4" but still at 205lbs. Needs to put on weight still. Don't know what he is as of now.

He was a good recruit and we all expect him to do well.

However, we're losing a first round draft pick QB. There will be a drop off with a rookie/RS freshman QB, there is no way around it.

To those above comparing recruiting classes, we've been doing what we're doing with walk-ons, players that no one else wanted, and transfers from programs like Arkansas Pine Bluff. A 3 star recruit is a step up for us. The sky was the ceiling here with Fuente and highly rated players. While we've upgraded recruiting the last couple of years; we will be led by a different coach with unknown abilities. We're an unknown at this point, a dangerous unknown; but an unknown none the less.
