I know it's been said before, but ignore him. Don't respond and delete his responses when you quote someone. Do that and he'll soon be a distant memory.

Sorry I'm having too much fun taking gratuitous shots at ISU.

I visited the ISU message board he doesn't appear to be on there. Perhaps it's because there isn't much going on at that place. Apparently they won their conference football championship yesterday and the thread had 4 replies. Talk about a rabid fan base!

Most of their fans are probably Illini fans and no one cares about football on that level. The 1-AA national title game drew 1.4 million viewers. Less than lowly Boca Bowl and 2.25 million viewers. I imagine the rest of the 1-AA playoff games drew much less.

Iowa State message board? y?

NealT is Jon99, the same Jons99 posting and was booted. Sad and pathetic dude, hilarious seeing him trip over himself though.

I'll also say, ISU blows. They just got blown out at home by South Dakota State and their NCAA Tournament drought is nearly as bad as NIU's (1998). LOL at ISU fans coming on here to talk smack like they're a relevant program and trying to piggyback on Wichita and UNI.

ISU in the MAC, they would have been in the NCAA tournament several times since 1998..

Nah they would've blown it like always.

I didn't think they ever made the tournament. Are they D 2 in football still?

NIT 5 of the last 8 years... any MAC programs at that level?

First person ever to brag about making the NIT 5 times in 8 years.

Again, ISU would chokevlike always.

Excuse me as I don't know the exact numbers and I am not going to look..

NCAA Bowls takes 70 of I believe 128 FBS programs... you want to speak of mediocrity???? When 5 or 6 schools out of the crappy MAC are invited to a bowl game, thats the text book definition of mediocrity!!! Not a 21-10 ISU team that makes the NIT..

NCAA basketball tournament choses from I believe 351 schools.. the top 52-53 teams make the NCAA field and then completed with filler schools that won their conference.. the next best 32 teams are invited to be in the NIT..

So for general purposes, 70 of 128 make a bowl game... 85 of 351 make either the NCAA or NIT in basketball..

You had 500 people at your basketball game the other night, averaging FCS type crowds in football.... And you want to comment on other schools fans?

So that's still a higher average than your I-AA football. Obtw, NIT draws less viewership than a midweek Maction game matchup with below .500 teams on ESPNU.

They drew over 5000 yesterday.. 31 degrees, 20 pph wind and snow... my guess is that NIU doesn't draw much better than that..

And NIT ratings depend on who is playing... the Illinois State/Stanford game had good numbers..

The two coldest games in recent history played at Huskie Stadium drew 18k against Ball state, and 17.5K again WMU in snow on a WEEKDAY! Every year, NIU will draw 1mil+ viewership in a single regular season game or bowl, something unachievable to your I-AA team playing a FBS opponent or evident in the FCS championship game.

Lol now he's bragging about drawing 5,000 at a football game.

Nobody on here is touting making a bowl as a significant achievement. The difference is you're doing that with the NIT.

1998.

I brought up the NIT when one of your fans made the comment that ISU was riding the coat tails of WSU and UNI... completely untrue, they have been the 3rd best program in the MVC over that period (4th if you count Creighton)... and all 3 of those programs have accomplished more than any MAC football program

You're right ISU will draw more viewership than Ill St. basketball on Tuesday all year combined.

If you're comparing your basketball program to NIU's, your program must not be any good.

I love that an ISU fan trolls an NIU board. What a life! Imagine accomplishing so much that all you have on your checklist is to mess with a humble MAC school fan base.

It's a middle aged man making the salary of a recent college graduate, he needs a venue to project his perceived superiority somehow.

Lol NIU's Orange Bowl bid was the equivalent of making the Elite Eight. The only MVC program to equal that is WSU in 2013. Lol at suggesting ISU, which can't even make the field of 68, is anywhere close. Also, more people watched NIU in that bowl than the total number of people who saw an ISU game ever combined!

1998!
