Maybe we needed to be totally embarrassed like this to get the ball rolling.

Won't matter. The koolaid drinkers and the administration will just lower the bar some more. As long as people buy seats, Bohn won't care.

Yea, I'm sure there's still plenty on Bearcat Lair attacking the character of anyone who questions Tubs. He's in fine shape.

I'd say this administration will undoubtedly give him 1 more season. After next year's 5-7 finish they'll make the move.

Don't we have wins over UConn and Tulsa? What else could you want. We even won the homecoming game.

True. How many times have we heard the Tubs supporters say ' you can't expect to win every game.'

You must think you're the only one who realized the Tuberville thing wasn't work, yeah?

Agree Billy that is the most likely scenario. Probably TT will fire some assistant coaches as a move to save his ass and shift blame from him.

Not sure where the heck you get that from my post but whatever floats your boat.

What makes it particularly interesting is that you led the charge for a long time of tamping down any seditious opinions of criticism of this bafoon.

But as Saul of Tarsus was struck on the road to Damascus the congregation gladly welcomes a new convert who has finally had the scales fall from his eyes. Better late than never.

Is it wrong to be secretly rooting for another bad showing at ECU and no bowl invite? I would never outwardly root against them, but at this point I just want Tubberville gone. I don't want him to have some crappy Tampax bowl in Little Rock, Arkansas to point to as the reason to.keep him on.

I was never in the fire Tubberville camp before, and I may be in the camp that firing next year may be prudent depending on what we can attract to replace this year. But the first half of last night was the worst half of football I have ever seen when both teams had similar physical talent. The defense seemed to be confused on assignments on almost every play.

I went to the game with some family from St pete that followed the Bengals during the 90's but don't follow UC football. They repeatedly stated it was the worst football they had ever seen. That says a lot.

Probably right. Barring scandal or total disaster, he stays. We're on the brink of total disaster, though.

The personal fouls scream small time program. How often did the penalties happen under BK. The Kickoff returns look like they are not practiced. The kickoff coverage is awful. Every game there is a block in the back. And it goes on.

I'll give special teams a pass because the special teams coach is a grad asst and I think during the game he is also having to work his other job as a telemarketer. You know how hard it is to set up a termite inspection with Mrs. Smith during a kick off return?

That is wrong. I want change but I do not want to read ECU posts all winter about beating UC.

I was thinking no invite until I read this morning that there are 80 bowl slots and 64 now eligible. There are 30 teams that could reach 6 wins but due to needing 2 wins or 1 win that may be hard to come by, 16 may got make it. That means some 5-7 teams may go bowling. Under the rules I think all 6 win teams must be invited before losers can be.

RE: Silver Lining
Cats have a chance to beat ECU because their coaching staff is bad too. UC still has a talent issue. Good WR's and RB's don't make a good football team, there are injuries and youth in just about every other unit. Add that up with a coaching staff and a QB that lack leadership skills and you get this season.

I led the charge to wait out his second season so we could stop spamming these boards with constant posts about firing Tuberville and accusations that this fan base is drunk on the riverboat gambler. I'm so tired of hearing you talk about the "Kool aid" drinkers like there is some significant cult of the fan base destined to KEEP Tubs around. There isn't. The only thing most people wanted was patience. And after waiting it out, it's pretty obvious we are fed up too.

End of rant. Let's go back to talking about basketball.
