RE: Iverson
If only he could learn to stay in the "Kuran Box" he'd be really good.

RE: Iverson
He had some brilliant moves, though rarely in control. Sometimes he would cut up for the camera.

He told Granted in Gold he wanted to be a doctor.

You conveniently left out the 3 turns/game. I wonder if he still dribbles up to his chest and shoots 3's?

:edit: yep, still jacking 3's, hasn't hit one yet, but there is still hope.

Huh? He has attempted a whopping 1 so far this season.

Why do people on this board fall in love with players that make wild moves and cannot finish?

Considering the regression in his stats and playing against weak teams so far at URI, you would hope so. He's playing about twice the minutes, but he might be able to get more if he could reduce his fouls.

I thought Kuran had the potential to do some really nice things, though.

5-10 in free throws this year. He would have fit right in.

to be fair...he hit 3 of 8 in his first game...2 of 2 in the second

You do realize that he hit the highest % of 3's taken on our team last year and shot the 2nd highest % from the floor.

That is pretty good for a guy who is wild and couldn't finish.

Iverson only had 26 shots overall and 5 threes last year. You can't really compare that to other players that shot several hundred times.

Agreed...But should you call him wild? Those stats don't scream wild and out of control and jacking 3's

It seems like some of his shots were a little wild but with so few shots he would only need 1 or 2 for people to think of him as wild.

Maybe they need to break out the FG shooting into further categories
BM (Barely missed)
MBAM (Missed by a mile)
RAO (Rimming and Out)
RAI (Rimming and In) - this one never happens
COR - Clanked on Rim
AN - All net but didn't go through the hoop
SBOSOR - Stuck ball on Side of Rim
STSCCMBIWBAWSFY - Shot that Stephen Curry can make but it would be a wild shot for you.
