RE: Who's got the 411 on the MBB Suspensions?

I also don't see any reason that it is unacceptable to wonder why and more so how long the suspensions will last. Nor do I see any problem with revealing the length of the suspensions. Furthermore, I don't see anyone saying anyone is entitled to anything, so I am not sure why that keeps coming up.

Are you sure??? Some of us buy tickets, pay tiution, pay taxes, make donations to ODAF, and purchase odu products. There are somethings we don't needto know, but to say they don't owe us anythinbg is not accurate
= entitled. being a fan does not entitle anyone to an absolute right to know everything.

For the good of the team, it is a blessing in disguise. Extra minutes for Trey, Aaron, Jordan, Ahmad and Brandan to get them going. Mosley blew a tire last season, he's such an important weapon. He will be fresh for Purdue/VCU/Richmond/William and Mary.

Some suspensions for certain types of infractions are spelled out in detail as university wide policy. In these types of cases the rules of the university are set so you have to follow what they say and there is no wiggle room for the players, coaches or admins. This was/is one of those cases.

Don't really need to know the infraction although I am a bit nosy but I don't think it's unreasonable to want to know the length of the suspension.

There is no way that fans are entitled to know what happened.
But it is fair for fans to ask how long the suspension is.
Coming back for the Purdue game is not doing the team any favors, IMO. I would rather that they come back for the Morgan State game to get some gametime experience before Purdue.

When we were first told about the suspension it was portrayed as indefinite, as if they didn't know yet how long it would be. Yet it seems they knew exactly how long it would be.

And? Not sure how it impacts any of us on this board. If JJ wants to suspend them for 3 games or 6 games, it's completely up to him. I am actually happy about it because if we get in serious foul trouble we know what Vassor, Biberaj, and Shaw could give us in extended minutes.

I understand your point but the insinuation from previous posters was that the policy dictated the penalty in this case and that was 3 games. That was my interpretation.

IMO, it does not help the team in any way for the infraction to be known. It may only hurt the 3 players and the team. I prefer that the info not be broadcast to the world.

Hopefully, all of this will be forgotten this weekend in Uncasville!
