Maybe we've already got our core group and don't need anyone else? Maybe there's nobody "Memphis good" in this lot? Maybe we only recruit for when we think we're going to be here? I'm just thinking out loud.

Maybe we're just skipping the transfer step.

Curious minds could simply Google and learn these two morsels:
1. Early signing period is from Nov 11 to Nov 18
2. Regular signing period begins April 13 2016 and lasts until May 18 2016
Now curious minds might also read the CA online and--if they did--would learn that Jimario Rivers (the 13th ranked Juco player) signed with Memphis today. Also, Top 100 PG Charlie Moore is to decide this Thursay and is expected to sign with Memphis also.
Now that would only give Josh 2 clear Top 100+ recruits with the regular signing period to add on.
That will surely surprise the Negs but, hey, what has Josh EVER done to lead anyone to think he could recruit? He only got the 12th ranked class this year.
But that would only be of interest to curious minds that watch something besides False News and never let facts impede their opinions.

Facts: 6 years and counting and never past the round of 32
2 years and counting in a decent league and never past the first round of the conference tourney
6 years and counting and a losing record vs top 50 rpi

Wasn't Stan Simpson the number 6 or 7 Juco recruit? Paster has been able to recruit in the past, but let's be careful using Juco recruits to argue that we are bringing in a good class.

Both of you guys make good points, each from a different perspective. From my own perspective, I know that too many people think that the "grass is always greener on the other side."(it isn't necessarily).
The other thing to consider is that Cal is never coming back here, & I believe that any coach who can recruit like he can is doing so with a very good chance of getting us in a whole lot of trouble which is the very last thing we need right now because of the chance to get into a Power 5 conference. I'll take Coach P & his 100% clean program over potential for slime every day of the year.
