Wonderful! They forgot to mention the conference championship game, should Temple run the table on the rest of the games on their schedule. Of course we're getting way ahead of ourselves at this point. Take one game at a time.

Good game featuring good ranked teams---why shouldn't it get great ratings? Just another talking point for Aresco come renegotiation time.

Good for Temple and AAC, but lets be honest it is the power of ND.

Let's also be honest that UCF is going to go winless this year.

Agree, UCF fans, at this point just keep it zipped with being critical. You guys have a great program and will rebound very quickly. Let's let the teams that are have great years enjoy it.

I don't think that tv number is just Notre Dame. People are interested in watching a good underdog team beat a Goliath. There are many football fans that really do not like the Fighting Irish. I bet many tuned in hoping for a Temple win.

But it still was great exposure for Temple and the AAC. Don't matter who brought in the eyeballs.

I found it hysterical that in the AAC commercial, where all the schools' players are going 'One more touchdown' 'One more catch' etc... UCF got the line 'One more win'

Maybe that's the team's motto this season? We just need 1

Ohio State arguably has just as big of a fan base as Notre Dame, and Penn State has a huge fan base as well. I don't see any problem with comparing the two games. Temple doesn't have a huge fan base, but they put up a good fight and that definitely helped the ratings.

People tune in because they LOVE Notre Dame. They also tune in because they HATE Notre Dame. Throw in the huge underdog story line and that makes for great television. It didn't hurt that the game was close until the last interception. If the game had been a blowout like every talking head predicted, people would have changed the channel. That's on Temple for playing a great game!

Keep in mind too that the Ohio State-Penn State game last year was one that went into overtime (meaning it was not a blowout game people turned off).

And as far as the local Philadelphia TV market, the game pulled in 18.1 overnight, which is the best ever for a regular season college football in that market. This is a huge number and dwarfs anything Penn State has ever received here.

This has nothing to do with being Catholic. Has it been established that this woman is Catholic, and if she is it doesn't correlate that her behavior has anything to do with the Church. The Church teaches chastity, and clearly this behavior represents a sinful attitude and actions towards Our Lord's teachings. There are a lot of people that call themselves Catholic that in practice aren't, even in the clergy, and they have excommunicated themselves by their sinful actions. The Church is full of fallible, sinful human beings that fall from grace. But these fallible, sinful human beings are not the Church, nor do the represent Our Lord's teachings. We should pray for these poor souls and hope that justice is served on behalf of the victims.

There are a lot of sinful, evil people in the clergy and episcopacy. They are not the Church. They are individuals that do not practice Our Lords teachings. It is scandalous that the hierarchy cannot rid the Church of these evil individuals, but the hierarchy is infected as well which causes incredible damage to the faithful causing them to lose the faith and leave the Church and also keeps those outside of Our Lord's Church from finding the truth. All that can be done is to pray for the Church that these people repent and return to grace.
