RE: Marshall @ Charlotte Game Thread
Ok I've derailed the thread enough. Back to the game. 28-0, and Litton has his first 300 yard passing game with 9 minutes left in the second quarter. He threw for 260ish vs Norfolk St and 189 vs North Texas at home.

Exactly, some schools have to earn respect and invites in lesser conferences or lower levels like Marshall, LT, MTSU, So Miss, ECU, and others. Some though are given conference invites based on how big a market they are in, like UNCC, FIU, FAU, UTSA, SMU, Tulane, etc. whether they have had sustained success or not.

I guess you would have preferred Marshall go Indy, or back to the MAC? Without the schools like those you listed, there would not be a CUSA.

If you take away UNCC, FIU, UTSA, and FAU we still have 9 schools. That is enough for a conference, plus UAB is coming back. So that's 10. I get that we need a Florida presence for recruiting, but we could have waited for the cream to rise instead of jumping the gun and adding schools that add nothing but TV sets.

You're probably just mad that CUSA is the best you will ever be because of your market. Not our fault your team is in the sticks. Just a matter of time before we leap frog you guys.

Ok, good luck with that.

Just taking up for my team as well. He's been talking his crap all year about Charlotte not belonging. Charlotte fans know we were fortunate to be in CUSA at this point, but we do believe we will help the conference in the long term.

I'm just stating facts. But Herd fans are more in love with the easy road trip for themselves than caring about what's actually good for the Herd and the conference.

Respect your conference mates. If your not happy, then choose another team. I hope we are stuck with Charlotte till the day college sports die.
Again, they haven't earned anyone's respect yet. They were gifted a CUSA invite because of the city they are in. I'll respect them when they beat a real D-1 team. Not GA St.

I apologize. We sure do seem to be different in the road. At home were known for being nice folks, but on the road were arrogant. Your campus is beautiful, and I hope you all do great any other day. I'll always root for Charlotte when they don't play Marshall.

I think your team is decent, for where you are. Don't gauge where you are based on today, MTSU, and others. Vs teams you are similar to you have won or competed well. Good luck the rest of the year. I quit talking ****, for now, but I reserve the right to start up again if you suck for eternity like F_U.

I know it was probably a special group, just frustrating to watch someone ignore
common decency. If it weren't my fiancé, the guy in the group would have joined the bottles.

You don't suppose their prior history with the conference had anything to do with it? I'd be shocked if it wasn't a significant point in their favor.

Why so selective? ODU, UNT aren't different enough from the ones above. If you want teams that have proven success at the FBS level...

I'm in 131 and I have to agree. Pointing to the scoreboard is classless for a program 3 years old. Now yea I would've done it towards WKU but that's different.

Huntington's TV market is ranked 67th out of the 210 Neilsen TV markets in the country which puts Huntington in the top 1/3 of all TV markets in the U.S. No its not as big as Charlotte's TV market but its hardly the "sticks" Do a little research before you go trying to put someone down next time.

We aren't in the sticks in I-64 corridor through Huntington and Charleston. That said, we are also in one of the larger (if not the largest) geographic tv markets in the country.
