A lot of teams benefited when the cabal of trustees shut down UAB football.
I wonder if the CUSA coach that complained about this happened to have poached any of our players.

Attalla, I agree with you 100%. No other team has lived with their own BOT's foot on its throat for so long and had to rebuild a major sports team, due to the corrupt actions of of those who are supposed to serve the institutions best interest.
There was a silver lining. From all of the coverage of UAB as football, as it was shut down and brought back, we have become a national name. Coach Clark was already able to bring in a few impact players last year, and now we able to recruit from a much larger base.
Of course the other CUSA coaches are going to be upset that we are getting a lot of good players, who have an extra year to get bigger and stronger, but some of these players weren't even looking at a CUSA schools and are willing to give UAB a shot because of the story and the coaching leadership.
If some of the coaches are concerned about the number of scholarships, they shouldn't be vocal about it. Some of our players are enrolled on their teams; we didn't have a full recruiting class this year, only taking 15 players, and we will only take 5 extra players next year.
