Lets just go to all white with black shoes. that way we don't have to worry about being relevant to a new generation of football recruits.

Lots of schools do black outs and white outs, especially in basketball...

But who?

Penn State and Georgia Tech have always had white outs for both football and basketball, but white is an official school color for each of those. I really don't know of a school whose school color isn't black, who has had a black out for a football game.

I do not really keep track but just watch events and you will see it quite frequently. I know Arkansas has done both white and black outs.

Mississippi State just had a black out this past Sat. against KY. They are of course Maroon and White. Gray as a trim color.

I thought Buster won?

JMTC, but we seem to be the only school in the country determined not to wear gray.

That wasn't gray; it was flat black, or anthracite. We could change the fight song:

"Fight, fight, for the anthracite!"

Meanwhile, half the NCAA wears our shade of gray at some point in the season, even though it isn't part of the color scheme.

Admittedly, I had no idea about MSU and Nebraska. If black outs are the cool, trendy thing even for Nebraska and State, I guess we don't have a choice but to give in. I have heard though that the athletic marketing department would never go for a black out. I wonder if that's holding true? A student-led black out and black uniforms is as close as we'll get.. hopefully. I'll be in my Tiger blue and gray.

Is that why Alan Graf never goes to any basketball games these days?
