Unfortunately...That song pretty much spells out what is happening on the field. We have 2 inexperienced QBs with decent talent...Not great talent. Last night Walker was far in away better than both of them. Say what you want..but..It is the most important position on the field and is our biggest problem right now. Hopefully Nichol can figure out how to make one or both more effective. Last night? God Awful.

Both have too many flaws. Neither will be the QB next year, and since this season is over it doesn't really matter.

Let that sink in

Man I've said this for awhile, we get #$@!ed worse in our own league than we do on the road against South Carolina or FLorida.

That said, congrats Temple, hope you beat Notre Dame, I still don't know how good you are, but you keep winning and that's all that matters.

He's right though. What is left to do? Go to abother irrelevant bowl and probably lose to a decent P5 team or beat a G4 team?

Anyone that thought this team had the ability to win this conference at the beginning of the season(even before the loss of Benkurt) had very unrealistic expectations. We lost the 2 of the schools best skilled player on offense....IN SCHOOL HISTORY. We also now have a new Offensive coordinator. It is unfortunate...but...it is no reason to throw in the towel. We just have to keep on plugging. There is no such thing as a bad bowl game. The extra practice time and exposure...win or lose is very important.

Well expectations change. We should've won last night. We should've won at BYU. We could've won at Florida. This team was good enough to win the East

We have 2 decent QBs with particular skill sets that managed to have a couple of good games. The video room has caught up with what they do well. It is tough going when everyone now knows the playbook. Now Nichol has to show what kind of coach he is. It is pretty clear that the offense is now our handicap. I hope he can fix our problem.
He does not have a easy job. Our O line is NOT playing well. THAT is a lot of our problem now. They are not giving Kemp time to throw downfield and not giving Summers running room. We are left with short passing and and read option. Neither are effective at this point.

RE: ***Game Thread: #22 Temple @ ECU: 7:00PM EST, ESPN2***
Just got home from my trip! I had to make a pit stop in Harrisonburg!

- Temple's defense was awesome in the second half. Had we gotten down by 2 possessions the fat lady would have sung. Despite the struggles on 3rd down the D made the plays when they to down the stretch...
- I thought Walker played really well. He made one bad throw when he led the WR out of bounds on what could have been a big play. He's receivers did not help him on a few tough but makeable catches.
- ECU had some really good athletes that were able to hurt Temple in space. They really did a good job mixing up their play calling in the first half but got too predicable in the second.
- ECU's campus is really nice! Greenville, from what I saw, was also nice...
- I was a little disappointed in the crowd. While it was a fun atmosphere, I figured it would have been closer to a sell-out. The upper deck had more bird poop than people...
-Dowdy-Ficklin Stadium is a pretty nice facility but could use some sprucing it up. The Press Box looks like something out of the 1960's.
- I ended up playing golf at River Ridge in Raleigh. Nice track!

The O-Line has been really bad, but I'd give Brad Davis a pass with all the injuries we've had. He also seems to prefer a more agressive bulldog approach, while we had been recruiting for big bodies with footwork to just protect. It shows too, we may be the worst run blocking team in country

We warned people that attendance wouldn't be good.

Yes, the press box is from that 60s-70s. It is about to be replaced.

Yeah, the press box is supposed to be part of the expansion/renovation we're doing. Not sure why you expected a near sellout. Just about everyone expected the 42-43K we got. Lots of STH come from 2+ hours away, and you just can't make that drive on a Thursday night

I think we are a better defensive team. Smith has really done a good job after the Navy debacle. IMHO we are no way a better offensive team. Neither QB handles the blitz reads and we lack a receiver that gets yards after catch. Everyone knows now to just pack the box and blitz like hell. Im not down on this squad..but..we simply are a couple of experienced skilled players on offense. Hopefully this team can build on this season and should be very good next year. I still see us making a bowl. I will say however that we really need to win in Storrs. The game Friday will show us the guts of this team and what kind of coaching staff we have.

Were you sitting below the lower concourse in the Upper deck? I saw a couple of Temple fans to my left. That picture is from my vantage. I sit with my back against the wall. I bet that was your group I saw. I hope you had a good time.

Were you sitting below the lower concourse in the Upper deck? I saw a couple of Temple fans to my left. That picture is from my vantage. I sit with my back against the wall. I bet that was your group I saw. I hope you had a good time.

I towards the top of the upper deck pacing between the 30's. DFS is great place to see a game and rather easy to get in and out of. I paid $20 to park in a business lot and had no trouble.

It sucks that so many of the AAC schools are far away from PA. Cincinnati and Navy are the next to get checked off. Memphis is intriguing if Tigers keep the interest up.

I think the Dowdy looks great. I've attended about 13-14 games there when I was in North Carolina. Love the campus and atmosphere. If I get stationed there again, I'll def go more.

A lot more fun than the Duke, UNC, and NC State games I attended. Fans were nicer too.

Dowdy is a pretty cool stadium. It definitely had a big time feel to it. With that said, it could use some updating (lower concourse area, light stations, press box) to make more P5'ish. I will definitely consider going back in 2017 if possible.

I'd like to see Temple do a H&H with UVA and UNC. Kenan and Scott Stadium are two venues pretty high on my bucket list. I drove through UVA's campus today before I stopped in Harrisonburg to check out Game Day.....

It is going to look very much like K States stadium after the next renovation on the South side. Everyone is ready to see the "trailer in the sky" gone. It is though perfectly functional to the press. It has not been that long ago renovated inside.
