I'm not trolling. History has shown that the national government has done more for human rights than the states.
Open a history book for Pete's sake. The government has had to step in several times to force states to treat all it's people equally. Do I really have to give you examples?

You think the states are not "providing for their citizens" because they refuse to blow up the size and scope of medicaid? Like it isn't easy enough to qualify for already? Foh.

Or they could just do it themselves. If it's a National issue, aren't they supposed to?

Wait... what?
This is really funny.
You could walk up and down your street without a dime and influence your city council election.... and a 'rich man' doing so, or him buying millions of dollars of TV time wouldn't do any better. They often aren't even affiliated with a party.
You guys routinely bring up some obscure state assemblyman with an outrageous position, yet they obviously represent their constituencies. Those people would NEVER get elected to widely held offices, yet they undoubtedly represent their voters.
If you seriously believe what you said here... I just don't know what to say in response. You clearly don't understand things.

It's an example of how states are sometimes forced to provide for their citizens.
Didn't we already establish that health care was a right?

1. Citizens, through the power of the ballot, 'force' states to act responsibly and in the best interest of their citizens. When the federal govt does it through the threat of withoholding funds, it is essentially blackmail.
2. Health care is not a right, and the passage of the ACA does not establish it as a right.

that's what the illegals, gov't employees, and worthless believe....
...and the few leftover philanthropic souls that voted for that bastage....
since you brought it up.....speaking of state fiscal responsibility, how does a public educator's weekly paycheck look in sw tejas? I'm certain all public teachers in tejas are rainbow gold.....

If one states something over and over and over....etc.....at some point it has to become truth....
it's like watching the view and the audience feeling a new sense of liberation as they exit the show....

RE: States refusing expansion of Obamacare are paying more?
The irony here is that the same people pimping healthcare as a right will say things like
"But what we can do is make sure that at least some of the waste that exists in the system that is not making anybody's mom better that is loading up on additional tests or additional drugs that the evidence shows is not going to improve care, that at least we can let doctors know and your mom know that, you know what, maybe this isn't gonna help. Maybe you're better off not taking the surgery, but taking the painkiller."
or
"At least we can let doctors know — and your mom know — that you know what, maybe this isn’t going to help. Maybe you’re better off, uhh, not having the surgery, but, uhh, taking the painkiller.”"

you know he's talking about the civil war or civil rights movement in the '60s while intentionally mis-remembering all the other 'stuff'...which has zero to do with the argument he attempts to present in the op....

It also allowed slavery, denying representation to US citizens who reside in Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the US Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and District of Columbia.
