From the Daily Press:

Rhodes Out For a "While"

Going to need him for Richmond. It sure looks like, for the 3rd season in row, the Richmond game will be a de facto playoff game.

That's a real shame. A great player and a great guy. Get better soon Luke!

Would be great to have him in there for Richmond (or before), but I don't think the Richmond game will be a play-in the same way it was in the past. Even if we lose to JMU I think we can take care of business against the rest of our schedule to go 7-3 heading in to that game. At that point 7-4 or 8-3 gets us in.

I completely agree we should destroy Richmond, I just don't think it's a play in game.

The 2014 revenge tour will not be complete unless we go 4-0 maybe even 5-0 with a playoff win against one of them. 2 down and 2 to go....

Should any players be looking in. We are fans, we are old and can't play anymore. We can think ahead. HAMPTON first please.

With only 11 games this year instead of 12, I think 4 losses might be an eliminator, even with 20 teams in the playoffs. I think W&M can afford one more loss, but that's it. Richmond could very well have 3 losses by that game also.

7-5 last year and we were among the first four out. UR was in comfortably at 8-4. I'll believe 7-4 isn't enough when I see it.

Getting in @ 7-4 will depend on the strength of the schedule. That should be no problem for us this year. That being said 8-3 will be safely in and 9-2 will give us a seed and home field for a couple of games. Win them one at a time and take care of business every week. We've had our bye week and a pleasant trip to Delaware. Now is time to get mean.

The thought that we will have to play JMU, whom I already didn't know how we could stop, without Luke is . . . deeply concerning.

JMU on the ground is their strength, and (with the exception of Delaware) have been very effective at stopping the run. We will miss Luke for sure, but Vad Lee seems to throw a lot of balls at defenders so it will be interesting to see if we force him to throw.

Well, we did hold UNH to a FG in the 2nd half last Saturday. Not that Rhodes might not be missed - I think we have some nice depth though.

Lubnow, Fetters, and Harvey are your starters, but Dulaney and Reuben have already gotten plenty of snaps this year thanks to the injuries at UVa. Has there been a public release of information on Haislip's timetable for return?

There is no doubt that a player of Luke's value will not be missed, but I agree that the depth at this position already demonstrated will fill in very well. Wishing Luke a speedy recovery.

JMY will be a big challenge for our D. I just watched JMU-SMU game and SMU D was just horrible. I think our O needs to control the tempo and D needs to stop couple turnovers.

Were I Jimmye, I'd be sending bags of flaming poop to the CAA's office because my best LB was hurt on a play that wouldn't have happened if the refs were competent. I'd also figure out why W&M can't have instant replay for every game like JMU and send a bag of flaming poop to that person's office. It's a good thing I'm not Jimmye.

It comes in abundance and is quite combustible!
