I agree we are deeper this year but I just don't know if we have the star power needed to take over the game at necessary moments.

Many take their side because many of your fans come off as nothing other than douchebags kicking a fellow conference mate while they are down.

I realize that you're including me in that statement. But, Southern fought tooth-n-nail for 30 years for this chance, while State simply announced football. THERE IS DAMN GOOD REASON WE'RE BITTER!

In fairness, you guys have seen the power of weak/terrible leadership. We were suffering from a President who went to Berkley and cared nothing for sports and an AD who was a bean counter and not much else.

We dealt with 17 years of the AD. Could you imagine 17 years of Levick?

I'm not bitter they moved to fbs that quickly. That made our fan base stand up and push out the old administration and got a new one in that would make the push.

I'm not bitter for that at all.

You are defending them because they are playing App State this week. The only time this season I'm a Ga State fan.

So by the logic of bitter spewed here TXST should be overtly bitter about UTSA, right? TXST tried to go FBS for over a decade and along comes UTSA saying we're starting football and we're FBS or we'll go indy and they go right to FBS. Even got into a conference as an FCS Independent. Then they get CUSA.

Of course, GSU was already in the SBC for all other sports to begin with and (founding member) and just brought their football over.

I think you're confusing Georgia State and WKU.

GSU was a founding member of the SBC, left to join the TAAC (later A-Sun), moved to CAA, back to the SBC after football was added.

Geez this "non-rival" of ours sure makes a lot of our fans upset...

lol. I laugh every time someone gets up in arms about State not being our rival. If they really weren't, people would just shrug it off and move on. But instead we have 10 page long threads about how they aren't a rival, and constantly make threads about them and their football program.

our fans who don't think state is a rival is fooling themselves.
