The only G5 conference without a losing record vs the FBS as a whole. That's not a bad stat.

Also, more wins vs the P5 than the AAC! (And I'm willing to bet quite a few more 'competitive' games vs. the P5 as well)

C-USA's performance on these types of stats is inversely proportional to the amount of time they spend on this board.

I think you mean ACC.

in hindsight, it was sneaky-genius branding to make us so easily confused with the next-most-prestigious conference

this is not new....

every year (the perception):
boise having an elite year: the MWC might be the best g5
boise having above average year but not enough to blind everyone: the mwc isnt very good

if boise were to ever have a 7-5. 6-6 season sunbelt comparisons will come up

Reality: MWC ='s slightly weaker CUSA with a really good team in Boise.

To be fair the intent was to be known as "The American" but AAC has clearly caught on.

Pretty sick that we've got four undefeated teams. I think the pac has 3, sec 5, B12 6, B12 5 and ACC 3. The MAC also has 1 undefeated team and ND has no losses.

It's just too much to type. Anyway, my devices now autocorrect ACC to AAC

the real kicker is MAC teams lost 6 P5 games by a TD or less, 4 by a FG. Unfortunately there's no such thing as almost winning. On the plus side they did manage to win all their FCS games though. I didn't see those totals listed here for each conference though. 07-coffee3

And Toledo is the other half. Seems they have some good teams up top. Ohio also beat Marshall the week after they beat Purdue. Not to mention the close calls, as NIU easily could have beaten BC and mighty Ohio State on national TV. And Ball State losing to Northwestern in a close call today. Central Michigan has also looked very impressive in defeat. The MAC is legit this season. Even Buffalo has looked solid.

It pays to have a consistently elite team or two. Any team that comes to power in any of the other conferences falls off the map shortly thereafter. Having one or two also allows other teams to build their program if they can notch an upset off of them.

Over all the AAC is having the best year of the G5.

It's also good that we still have four undefeated teams. The question will be wether the competitiveness of the league will hurt in having a top team at the end.

Here ya go
AAC 8-2
MAC 9-0
CUSA 9-0
MWC 10-0
SBC 9-0

Now what this shows us is that records against FCS schools have no bearing on how good a conference is and are irrelevant as long as it's not more than a couple losses.

The MWC is 11-1 vs FCS
BigXII is 6-1
PAC is 7-1

MAC CUSA and SBC schools are very easily confused with FCS and vice versa
