we still have a very good starting 5 but depth will be a concern.
Hamilton and McCree will probably be All-conference with Hamilton on the first team.
We will be decent this year probably on the same level as ODU last year
Well at least you're predictable.
The BS flag has just been raised to the top of the flag pole on that one.
So you expect Tech to break into the Top 25 this season, be among the Last 4 Out in the discussion for an At Large NCAA bid, and if they don't make it into the NCAA Tournament - they will make it to NYC and be part of the NIT Final Four. Just asking since that is what you are implying with such a wild statement. Now going into last season had you made a statement that last year's Tech team could have achieved any of those things, I could have agreed that it was a reasonable possibility given what you had returning, but not this time! New coach, at least 3 major players gone ... too much of a stretch to make such a comparison at this time.
In the lone head to head match-up between the two teams last season, ODU beat them like a rented mule. In case you have forgotten, it got ugly fast (for LA Tech) and only got worse for them from there as the game went on. In sports terminology it was what they call a Beat Down.
Perhaps you are expecting this year's LA Tech team to be better than last year's team was? No one else is.
Before you come back with ... but, but, but ... ODU lost "X" number of games in conference, ODU finished "X" in the conference standings, etc. Yes, ODU wasn't perfect and they did indeed stumble a few times during the season. That said, it doesn't take away from their accomplishments as stated above.
To the vast majority of LA Tech's great fans, none of these comments are directed towards you. Just to this one misguided 'fan'. I am pulling for LA Tech (as well as the rest of CUSA) to have a great season resulting in multiple NCAA bids for the conference.
