Top 120team
They did not look like a top 20 team. Several teams in the MAC would have given them a tough game.

No! There is not another front seven in the MAC that is as good as UT's.
Plus the pass coverage was good. And nobody else in the Conference has the depth like the Rockets. What other MAC team could go on the road beat a SEC team missing Hunt, Swanson, Covington, Martin, and Kulon?
Btw, the Maryland team that BG beat was pick to be the worst team in the Big Ten East, ranked below Indiana and Rutgers.

Don't know why so many people want to say that UA is not a good team. I prefer to believe that UA is a top 20 team, and that UT is even better.

Here's hoping the hogs run the table in the SEC. 05-stirthepot

I agree. Why would we want to beat a top-20 team and then say they were over-rated? Yes it's early in the season, and yes it's possible this win will in the end be like our win at Penn State ( where they had a mediocre season). But for now, we beat the 18th ranked team away from Toledo. Now, let's not blow it by losing at home to an Iowa State team that we should have beaten last season!

Give our guys some credit for what they have accomplished. Only time will tell how good either team is this year. Look at the stats though, Ark had like 500 yards of offense, but only like 100 yds rushing. We stopped the run effective enough and they were playing from behind most of the game. But, our guys stepped up, made big plays when they had to, and their guys made too many mistakes. And, maybe most important of all, our guys were better conditioned and better coached, at least for this microcosm. This doesn't mean Ark is not a good team this year and it does not prove we are great, but not many MAC schools can stop the run like UT can, so it would be a select few MAC schools that could even be in the game with that team. Like Boca Rocket said, our D is very stout up front and it will get even better and deeper with Covington back. Our secondary is better than in recent years as well. If we stay healthy, this is the year our D should be able to get us over the hump.

On the other side of the ball, our newly formed O-line in their first game, didn't allow a single sack. And Ely looked as cool as a cucumber back there, and with some room to further improve. Like I said, give our guys some credit for taking care of their business, managing the game, and coming out of a hostile environment with a W.

Like I have said all year, don't under estimate our defense, and we proved it against UA. Same with the OL, with Hunt and Covington back we will even be better. Go Rockets.
