Having spent most of my career serving areas where there were a large number of families on various types of public assistance I can say from my experience they do. Labor Day was probably third behind July 4th and Memorial Day for smoke complaints and fires started from grilling.

The welfare king in my family certainly does. And he and his wife both vote republican. Because he feels like when he finally becomes rich, he wants to keep all that is his.

He has been on welfare with 4 (FOUR) children for more than 15 years and has never had a job. At least not since he was kicked out of the military for malingering after only 2 years of a 4 year enlistment.

But, yeah. He celebrates Labor Day because fleecing the government is hard work and deserves a day off.

Yes They do ! They get up very early on Labor Day, Memorial Day and the fourth of July and take over All of the State and County Parks. Anyplace that has Public Picnic tables and BBQ Grills are taken at the crack of Dawn . You, the real Taxpayer, are Screwed if You think about taking the family out to the Park on those Holidays.

How do you define Welfare Kings & Queens? Are you talking about corporate welfare?

If it weren't for Corporations, There would be No Good jobs. Government Jobs have far more Welfare than corporations ever had.

That's exactly what the People working in the Corporation do !

If Congress wanted to change anything it would. Point is Congress makes tons of money as things are now so don't expect it to do anything about "corporate welfare" anytime soon.

The flaw with that thinking is that only individuals pay income tax. Corporations pass it on to customers/individuals. Essentially YOU pay their tax when you by their goods or services. This is one of the main ideas that surround consumption tax proposals.
