If not Miles... then who?
If Miles gets the hook during or after the season, who are reasonable successors?

IMO - Pull Bobby Lamb from Mercer. Great coach. Recruits the south well. History with App and GS. Winner.

Other ideas?

Willie Fritz? I think he'd be a swell add . . . .

I feel for GSU. If they do fire their coach then they have Cobb making the new hire. That is pretty scary right there. Hope they have some good people that matter.

Any non aloof, self aware HC with an actual plan will do.

Considering the UAB transfers were the only ones who performed at all yesterday; I'm saying Bill Clark.

He obviously knows how to recruit, who to recruit, and how to coach.

But Clark was only there for one year, so he probably didn't recruit those guys. You need Garrick McGee for that.

RE: If not Miles... then who?
Why on earth would Miles get the hook during the season? You only do that for things like wrecking a motorcycle with your athletic department paid squeeze, and making your AD look like an ass. Miles just having a hard time, he has had success elsewhere. It's not easy changing a culture of losing.

Actually looking at this guys coaching history, one has to ask how the hell did you guys manage to hire him. Come on losing record by a lot in FCS, and never an outstanding season, not one. America is a great country, we have one billionaire coach, and we got one guy who is stealing money legally.

Miles is a UAb type hire. It was just a bad hire, period. Time to cut bait and move on, although you probably let him have the season, cause what else you gonna do?

One thing you can and need to do, develop that list of good, quality candidates.

Good luck GaSt, you need it.

He Is not the answer and I believe he has lost the locker room. I saw nothing yesterday to indicate we are better at anything than we were in 2013

Fire him and appoint Jagz interim. Conduct national search.

Teams make the most improvement between game 1 and 2 possibly 3. Unfortunately I agree that I saw no improvement whatsoever, and the decreased mobility of Arbuckle will not help. I've thought and stated that I've thought all year we'd see an interim coach by the time GAST came to Sboro. Time to clean house.

I think you are thinking of a different McGee.

Honestly don't think Coach Lamb would be interested. Think he knows he's got a good thing going at Mercer.

You're right. I was confusing our Coach McGee and Coach Peoples that we got from UAB, thinking he was the same guy since Coach McGee has been big in some of our recruiting. Spent a long time driving to West Virginia yesterday so my brain may be a little scrambled. My mistake.

they should hire the Kennesaw State head coach and run the option out of the flex.
