They're all big wins! Winning is hard. You should hug every win

I see us being 8-6 going into the game at UConn to start the conference schedule, with losses to S.Miss, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Manhattan, Ole Miss, and South Carolina

Southern Miss is not, they were 9-20 last year and with all of the Donnie Tyndall NCAA sanctions hanging over them. Doc Sadler is good, but not that good. If we lose to USM, we have REAL problems. Same with Manhattan - can not lose that game @ home. Somehow, someway we need a split out of Oklahoma, OSU, Ole Miss and South Carolina. How do we get it? I have no freakin' idea at this point.

We lost to Christian Brothers and Stephen F. Austin last year. Both home games. We already have REAL problems. I doubt they have been fixed this year.

As an ETSU fan as well I actually think the Bucs have a harder out of conference schedule than the Tigers

I will be shocked if we win one out of the 4 Oklahoma, Ohio St, Ole Miss and South Carolina games. Id bet as much as I was able with a reputable service that we will either win 1 or 0 of those 4

Stephen F Austin was a hell of a team. Tulane and ECU were the teams you were trying to remember, I bet.

Your probably one of those types that told their obvious underachieving kids they had the smarts to get into Harvard or Stanford, and then when the only school they could get into was State Tech and Shelby State, you had a trophy made with 1st place and Champion ribbons all over it.

I'd expect us to beat both Ole Miss and USC. That's not going to carry a lot of weight come March, though.

We should beat Ole Miss, but South Carolina might be a tough out for us.

Weight come March? For what? We can't get into the NCAA women's tournament unless maybe the entire team pulls a Bruce Jenner

LMFAO if anyone thinks a Pastner coached team will ever make the NCAA again

Actually you can add ECU and Tulane to the list. It's Stephen F. Austin. I still don't think we should be losing to them at home. Can it happen even in a good season? sure. But the symptoms are adding up.

This team has the potential to make the tourney...

But if the teams still have the same type of play style we will always get drubbed when we are placed against another well coached team with equal talent.

RE: Full basketball schedule (2015-16)
I can't think of many things I can say with the same degree of confidence:

The next time Pastner finds himself playing in the NCAA tournament will be as an assistant or recruiter on someone else's bench. Pastner will NEVER be the head coach of an NCAA tournament team again. The reasons are simple… he will never amass the talent he once did because everyone knows he can't coach. This year will be his best chance, and there is little chance. He will most likely be fired, and if anyone takes him on as a head coach, it will be a small school where he will be getting 1 star recruits.

Agree to disagree...This team is borderline talented enough to scrape into the tourney

No one is really disputing raw talent. If this team had a real coach, and a full year of the requirements that a real coach would set such as not only STAYING in shape but going above and beyond in the off season trying to outwork everyone else, then yes they have the raw ability to collectively get into the tournament. Will they? With Pastner at the helm?? F**k and No

It is football season right now.
Worry about basketball in a couple of months.

I can't believe, for the first time ever, I'm actually agreeing with you on one of your posts, but on this one I am. Only thing on my mind right now is Tiger football (year round) and beating Kansas. I'll worry about Pastner and Tiger basketball only after our bowl game (win), and the football season is over.

RE: Full basketball schedule (2015-16)
Deep stuff for sure.

Indeed, Memphis rarely loses to a Stephen F Austin, and certainly not them, Tulane and a CBU exhibition in the same season.

Which is why last season's 18-14 was disappointing overall. But we knew then that the crew would now think they are being originally clever by never dropping what was in reality a few rarities, which is why they are called....rarities.

But...makes for fun reading invites others to bash something....anything...which is both sad and amusing.
