takeaways from week 1
so far for me....

Thought Michigan looked pretty good. Utah is a tough place to play at and Michigan was there for a lot of the game. I think Michigan is going to win like 8-9 games this year even. And Utah has a good team(I think they should be ranked quite frankly over Arizona).

The UNC/USC game may have set football back years. That was one ugly football game.

TCU not exactly lighting it up against Minnesota. But defense doing really well...

Minnesota has always had good fans, ever watch one of their basketball games? That crowd is electric and the students are crazy.

I can't really say I learned this in week 1 because I have felt this for a while but other than that one Cowboys DB who intercepted O'Donnell 65 times in the Super Bowl nobody has made more money off of one game than Larry Fedora. He's a mediocre at best football coach.

C-USA started out with two road wins. Regardless of how good or bad UCF and Vanderbilt are, it's still wins for FIU and WKU

IMO, Michigan looked mediocre. Final score was not indicative, a going nowhere Utah team controlled the game, outcome was never in doubt.

Harbaugh will get it done, but not this year.

Georgia Tech looks really good this year.

TCU played underwhelming, but Minnesota is improving as a program....having the new stadium and the right coach helps IMO

South Carolina looked bad....I predict a rough year

Not surprised Utah beat Michigan

RE: takeaways from week 1
let's see GT play a FBS team before we say they are really good....

Minnesota gave folks a blue print for how to play TCU.

If South Carolina looked bad, what does that say about North Carolina? They are going to struggle to just make a bowl game.

oh 1 other takeaway.... The new ESPN scoreboard absolutely sucks. Before you could see at least 8 games at a time. Now you are lucky if you get 5.

After that performance I would put NC down with WF & Cuse in the ACC cellar. Heels gave that game away with 2 INT in the end zone with wide open WR.

Harbaugh will get it done, but not this year.

Agree on Michigan. If they reach a bowl game with a 6 and 6 or 7 and 5 season, the season will be successful. They could potentially lose 3 of their first four games with Oregon State and BYU coming to town. I'll give them the win over UNLV. I also see them losing to Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State this year. Maryland, Minnesota, and Rutgers are toss ups at this time. They should beat Northwestern and Indiana.

TCU struggled - is Minnesota that good or can TCU expect a few loses in the B-12 this year. OK State did their job and beat Central Michigan.

SEC Vandy embarrassed by Western Kentucky.

Arizona won but had no defense against USTA.

The American Conference struggles losing 2 out of 3. UConn struggled in their win over FCS Villanova. The UCF lose was ugly for the AAC. Duke over Tulane was expected.

Georgia Tech did what they were suppose to do - no surprise there.

The South Carolina win was ugly but we'll take it - GO GAMECOCKS. THE QB needs work and the defense might be back to average. Hoping for a 7 and 5 season this year after last nights game. Will settle for 6 & 6 with a bowl game somewhere and a win like last year. The SEC run will be brutal after watching that game last night. Kentucky, UCF, Vanderbilt, and Citadel should be wins. Florida,Tennessee, and Missouri could go either way - need at least one of them. Clemson, A&M, and Georgia - I wouldn't count on though Georgia and Clemson are rivalry games and strange things have happened for the favored team in those rivalries.

North Carolina will get better....they've got 3 relatively easy games before they head down to Georgia Tech....

they had some sparks on offense, and their D looked decent at times....I don't think they'll absolutely suck it up this year. I like their chances to do better than .500

Thought he did a good job too. He wasn't tall enough on the 4th and inches though. 04-jawdrop 03-lmfao 03-lmfao

South Carolina will struggle this year and the QB position will be weak at best. The defense is average at best. It will be another long season especially when they hit the SEC buzz saw in there schedule though 6 & 6 is possible with Spurrier at the helm. 7&5 would be reaching but not unattainable with a few breaks like last night. 04-jawdrop 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 04-cheers

ya, i know they're a cupcake, but GT had the game put away in the first quarter....that's what you do to cupcakes

I think they're a top 10 team this year, and will challenge for the playoff...when that style of offense rolls, it rolls down hill
