I'll ignore for a moment the very questionable merits of a 12 year old knowing he is gay a half decade before he can even legally have sex.

What the **** is this doing on a sports channel? I hate ESPN for many reasons ... but it's increasing political bent of a decidedly "Hartford, CT" flavor is chief among them.

You keep saying that you are a Libertarian but everyday it is harder to believe. Get out of his sex life! Sound like another RINO to me.

It's hard to get out of peoples sex life when they parade it around and demand awards for it...

Ummm, ok. It's not that The kids can consent, either way, but I definitely knew which team I was batting for when I was 12.....

But, if you are standing tall for the "haven't decided yet," ok... FIGHT THE POWER!!!!

At 12, I was worried about my next tennis tournament and increasing the velocity of my fastball. I might have oogling girls with my eyes by then I suppose, but the idea of sexual orientation was nowhere in the picture. For me, girls became interesting at 15 and I hit for the cycle at 17. But 12? *REALLY?*

Well, you were way behind the game. You were probably already thought of as "Questionable-sexual", but most of us gave you the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I wasn't worried about my sexuality at that age because I was in the "norm." But for you and those that are not in the norm, I have reserved judgement. In retrospect, I see that is not the Christian thing to do, but, **** it, I gave up Christianity long ago when I saw it being used to put everyday people, such as yourself, down. I hope you are someday able to come to terms with the fact that you are not what everyone thinks you should be, but exactly what you are. And I hope you learn to love that about yourself.

Peace Brother. Let it settle. You will be a much happier person.

What the **** are you even talking about? 12? Are you insane? This isn't/wasn't anything out of the norm. I "liked" girls, but it sure as hell wasn't even in the top 10 of concerns at that age.

By 15-17? Probably top one or two, cars/chicks, chicks/ cars, surf.

12? Were your parents degenerates watching porn with you or something? lol

I genuinely don't know if this is you channeling Dana Carvey's church lady character or serious. And I can't even tell what your criticism is suppose to be, other than I'd be a crappy Christian?

For realzzzzz!!!!!!!! I know what you mean... Just last week I was out watching a movie with my Godson when this couple proceed to KISS.... Right there in front of everyone! For **** sakes. You Would think they could keep that heterosexual **** to themselves for at least the evening.... To think I had to explain to a small child that some people don't always think and act the way EVERYONE wants them to. Such a hard lesson to learn, and at such a tender age.

See what you made me do? You made me agree with BIE on social issues. Look what you've done!

My beef isn't with the kid. I DGAF about him. My beef is with ESPN ... emphasis on the S ... parading this around. For a sports network to air this is in and of itself a no go for me. He could have been 30 for all I cared. But when you add in the 12 year old creepy factor? Get that **** off my sports channel, TYVM. I don't care what he does in his private life ... so long as it is his private life and not on my sports channels.

He must be an insanely talented lacrosse player to warrant the attention and time/effort of the largest sports channel out there.

That was the point of the story, right? Sports, and talent? 03-yawn

Not seeing the difference between national "courage" awards and what people do in a movie theater.

Not too bright, are you..

Youn may need to diagram your sentence, because I'm am not seeing a subject and verb. As far as courage.... Whatever. If an award is what you're seeking, I doubt an award is what you'll receive. But, by all means, keep up the good fight, it can happen.

I simply want to enjoy a movie without wondering where the next bullet is coming from. Friend or foe... Both are likely to end my life.

wow you live your life in fear. No matter your so angry...

Took my three kids, my pregnant wife, and my visiting mother to the movies last week. Not once did I have a panicked feeling about "where the next bullet" was going to come from.

Maybe thats why I am so happy. Life will bring what it will bring.

Nope. Not angry or fearful at all..

Eta:you really should address your subject/verbs..... I really don't know if you're just freeballin' or if you are actually trying to make point.

Seems you are. Your posts just seem to all ooze with either hatred, fear, or anger.

To be honest if I acted as angry in real life as she does on here I would probably worry about catching a bullet at a lot more places than a movie theater.

RE: ESPN - The Courage Game
A slight tangent here but relevant nonetheless.

A couple of years ago a local 15 yr old boy, committed suicide because he was being bullied for being gay. The story was big news locally and went national with many entertainers adding to various public service messages. (You may recall it was the "it gets better" video from the victim that was all over TV.)

The irony is that the teens who were the major bullies were well known to the school administration, community and police. Nothing ever happened to them, except, they achieved a sort of "cool" celebrity status. It was reported that the main bully actually achieved a higher status amongst the cool kids.

How sad is that.

How does ESPN go about finding a minor, who is gay, to do a story on? How much are they paying the parents?

Is someone high up at ESPN gay? Not that it matters just may explain the recent additions to the lineup.

Not only that, but isn't ESPN also owned by ABC/Disney? So the parent company is one that is well known for chasing the politically correct/liberal viewpoint.

I guess I was 10 or 12 when I first noticed that the sight of Suzanne McG across the street excited my senses in a way that the sight of her brother Jeff didn't. 03-lol
