Montana is a great choice as a showcase of the best of FCS programs. Large stadium (by FCS standards) that's always packed.

Great game Montana.

They figured out how to beat NDSU: throw it at Champion #5. He did everything in his power to lose the game for NDSU.

"Why is Montana excited? They have to go through a playoff, the regular season is meaningless"
- Bowl Executives, probably

Big congrats to the Griz. Great start to the football season.

That was an awesome game. Montana has a nice stadium. Some of the schools that snuck into FBS while programs like that are in FCS is beyond me. That looked like a big time game atmosphere to me.

Maybe it's something simple, like those programs wanted to be in the FBS and Montana didn't.

I wonder how much these schools were paid by ESPN for the rights to this game. I'll bet they got a pretty decent audience, given they had the stage all to themselves.

Montana doesn't want to be in a conference with Texas teams, like the WAC would have been. When a western fcs conference gets a chance to move up, Montana will be leading the charge.

RE: Montana vs NDSU
Great, gutsy game and win for the Griz. Caught the second half and winning score. We can expect Montana to be a top 5 team in the new rankings. Liberty, that plays Montana on September 19 in Lynchburg, will likely play 2 top FCS teams if Coastal plays well. Looking forward to a very exciting game in Lynchburg on the 19th.
