Yes...and since AAC doesn't have specific rules against enrolling non-qualifiers, it still could be happening today at ECU Football or ECU Basketball...2 programs that have enrolled non-qualifiers in the past.

It could also be happening at UCF since you are claiming that there is no rule against it. It could also be happening at Memphis. Other posters have said that there is a rule against it; so either they are wrong or you continue to be your usual blustery self.

Personally, I still want to see what these thugs can do on the field.

The AAC does have specific rules. NQ'ers are not allowed.

Act like you been there before. We have and still lead our series with you. Bumpkin.

Funny, Marshall doesn't do it on BYU, Clemson, Louisville, Kansas State, South Carolina, Maryland, ...ect pages either. Butt for some reason you guys like to talk mad hate on the Herd.

This entire thread is about MU.

Dude those teams you listed aside from BYU were worse than some teams you played this year

That Kansas State team was the Big12 champ. Blah blah blah, anyways... I was making fun of your fellow ECU but pirate above trying to sound cool by rattling off some "P5" schools ECU has beaten in the past. Until we meet again, guess what?

59-28

Didn't take long for one of these Marshall fans to post a score. I bet he almost pee'd his pants with excitement as he typed it.

Best day of his life. I'm ok with tossing the kid a bone. Their highlights now are Middle Tenn State and LA Tech. I can understand his nostalgia compared to those teams. 03-puke

Why are any of you even worried about who Doc recruits? We don't even play anymore.

As I have explained. We are all competing for the Access Bowls. If a team or teams has an unfair advantage, it needs to be addressed. I think there needs to be a level of uniformity in admissions and eligibility rules for all of FBS.

Until then MU is going to take advantage of liberal policies and grab up some 4 star (got a 5 star juco transfer last week) players. Access Bowl? Glad to hear you admit the Herd is an obstacle.

Marshall will never make access bowl. They schedule cupcakes OOC and play cupcakes in conference and still don't have the talent to win em all. Playoff committee would have bounced Marshall outta the access last year undefeated or not. Boise and NIU are AAC biggest obstacles to access bowls every year.

If MU is so irrelevant then quit worrying about them. If you see NIU be sure to tell them 52-23 for me.

Actually the AAC's biggest obstacle to the Access Bowl is the AAC. A one loss ECU team was ranked long before Boise State and Marshall were last year; so that shows that the Committee saw the AAC as a stronger league.

No, I think it saw us as having beaten Virginia Tech and UNC and played USC within 10 while everyone else had done nothing.

The AAC does have specific rules. NQ'ers are not allowed.

I think you are right on that. I dont think the American allows it.

That being said, of all the P5's.... Pac-12, SEC, ACC, Big 10 have no rule against NQ's and leaves it to member schools. The SEC in particular will allow 4 NQ's per school a year.

Lol.

No. We've never had a NQ on scholarship. The last time we took one was likely in our Big West days (~'98).

FWIW, the MWC (like the AAC) doesn't allow NQ's.

They just cheat. That's why they are on probation currently. Just like Marshall was last time they let their NQ's get out of control and made up fake jobs to pay them with.

How bad is it, when you can't even qualify for "paper" classes? Maybe Louisville hasn't achieved the UNC status yet.

Not worried at all. Been so long since we haven't ragdolled Marshall I hardly feel anything towards them at all. It's a nice school where below avg d1 athletes can go and play.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I knew the SEC allowed them, just didnt know 2 was the limit in football. Its not like they need a limit anyway when you consider the caliber of recruit they can get by just playing in the SEC.

07-coffee3 we just call them "special". For the most part, the student population at Marshall is "special"...and need "help".

Yeah, okay.

How is this "cheating"?

"First-year football coach Bryan Harsin was the offensive coordinator when the football program committed its violations, all stemming from the tradition of incoming freshmen spending the summers living with veteran players while working out with the team.

The summer violations involved a rule the coaches didn't know. They helped incoming freshmen find places to stay and the veterans didn't always charge sufficient rent.

Don't be asinine.
