Certainly this pushes Fresno State to the forefront of future realignment scenarios, regardless of the conference.

It's stupid, ugly and silly and if AState weren't so close to the approach path of the airport we could have one too and I'd be really happy.

UConn should have one of their own soon.

UNC would do this but they are afraid the blimp would hover over Wallace Wade Stadium by mistake.

There is no way that NIU could have anything like that. Way too windy out here.

Bearcats and Bulldogs need to schedule more in football. We had that one small H/H series and us Bulldogs fans and Bearcats fans seem to get along very well. 04-cheers

Fresno is cool, they always seem to be pretty good, and that's over a very long period.

How much does something like this cost to purchase and what is its annual estimate cost to operate? I actually kinda like the idea from a promotional standpoint, but it would have to be make sense from an economic stand point. If its costs a million and 500K a year to run, it might be cheaper to buy other forms of promotional media. If it has light up LED screens on the sides it might be able to generate corporate money at night to offset its costs while still building an awareness of Fresno St. Like I said, I like the idea, though Im not sure it would work for Houston because TDECU stadium is fairly close to Hobby Airport. However, if it could get ok'd by the FAA, and the costs are reasonable, it might be far more efficient than bill board ads in a big spread out city like Houston.

What I like about it is this is a reflection of our new AD, past asst AD at Oregon. I like that he is making bold moves. He has been on the job for less than a year and already something like this, new upgraded stadium HD screen and a stadium modification plan he expects to execute over the next couple of years.

He is not letting our program sit still. Oh and by the way, we have pretty decent facilities a nearly 16,000 seat basketball arena, stadiums for both our baseball/softball programs, new aquatics center, 41k plus football stadium, etc. We could fit into most P5 conferences with our facilities.

You're right. Buying one makes no sense. That's why Fresno is just leasing it for their their home games.
