ISIS suspected of mustard gas attack on Kurds
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-33922493

Quote:Militants from Islamic State (IS) are suspected of using chemical weapons in an attack against Kurdish forces in northern Iraq, officials say.
German officials said Kurdish troops suffered breathing difficulties after an attack near the city of Irbil earlier this month.
They did not say what may have been used. US officials told local media they believed it was mustard agent.
IS has previously been accused of using chlorine gas against Kurdish fighters.
US officials quoted in the Wall Street Journal said IS could have obtained the mustard agent in neighbouring Syria.

Quote:Mustard agent, or sulphur mustard - more commonly referred to as mustard gas - causes blistering of the skin, eyes and respiratory tract.
The German defence ministry, which is helping to train Kurdish forces, said that US and Iraqi experts were on their way to the area "to find out what happened".
A ministry statement said that about 60 Kurdish fighters had suffered breathing problems as a result of the attack.
"We have indications that there was an attack with chemical weapons," a ministry spokesman told AFP news agency.
Kurdish security officials said the IS attack happened near the town of Makhmour, south-west of Irbil.
Earlier this year, the autonomous Kurdish government in northern Iraq said it had evidence that IS had used chlorine in a car bomb attack.

Your "logic" continues to amaze.

Saddam once used weapons with a mustard agent in Iraq, therefore the mustard agent allegedly used by ISIS came from Iraqi WMD's moved to Syria.

Facts be damned!

So, you're saying that ISIS (who control 1/3 of Iraq) would be unable to move WMDs to Syria?

What facts be damned? What facts suggest that is not the case?

Not saying there are facts supporting it conclusively. Just saying that there are not facts refuting it conclusively.

Well, in all seriousness, where do you think ISIS acquired the weapons? I'm thinking Assad never got rid of all the weapons and some wound up with ISIS.

Iraq had months to move the Gas before We actually went in.They held up inspections while moving it. BTW Syria and Iran also got Saddam's Fighter planes too before We could go in. All about the Stall tactics. Just like anyone looking into the Iran Deal. Just like when Osama Bin Laden was supposedly trapped in the Caves in Afghanistan and We let Him get away when the Afghan Rebels had Us wait a week to give Them a chance to bring him in. Those Middle East Guys all work together on this Crap Vs the West allies

When questioned about ISIS using mustard gas, Secretary Kerry responded, "I can categorically confirm that they are not using Heinz mustard."

There has been a suggestion that Russia has provided gas to Syria, which ultimately feel into ISIS hands.

Why should he cite anything for you, when you'll just dismiss it as "not good enough" or something to that effect?

Even more reason to deal with Iran! Pretty sure they are on the up and up about everything else as well.
