7 teams at 100 or worse.

That's pretty bad.

FAU looks a bit low to me. Looking at scores from last season it looks like they were in a lot of games.

Last Years Finish. Name - CBS Prediction: Net G/L

22. Marshall = 38: -16
40. Tech = 71: -31
64. Rice = 76: -12
69. WKU = 46: +23
84. UTEP = 112: -28
85. MTSU = 81: +4
91. ODU = 109: -18
106. FIU = 105: +1
109. UTSA = 123: -14
110. UNT = 117: -7
111. FAU = 120: -9
113. USM = 70: +43 04-jawdrop

NR. Charlotte - 128
77. UAB - NR

Even with USM's inexplicable 43 point improvement, C-USA drops a net of 64 spots from the end of last year.

I'm calling this the annual "G5 HAIRCUT" by our glorious national media. So if the G5 is getting this haircut, who benefits? eww, yeah, that's right.

No one wants to hear it but we have been telling everyone we would be better and a big step towards being back. Its hard not to with 20 transfers and several of them are not juco's they are from fbs programs.

RE: CBSsports Countdown 1-128
I have no doubt we will be a much better football team this year, as far as talent and mindset go. The question is if the team can put it all together and win some games. From what I have seen at practice and speaking to several players and coaches, the answer is yes.

Someone has obviously convinced someone at CBS of the same. Sure hope they are right. We shall see! SMTTT!

Ok ODU Aggie, want to plug these into your formula? How do these predictions for CUSA stack up to the other Great5 conferences?

Definitely worse for CUSA than the OS poll. I like to see where CUSA teams were ranked last year (2014) by CBS preseason. Can't locate it on the web

I'll give it a shot, but first glance doesn't bode well for C-USA.

Bunch of cocky little upstarts in CUSA these days. Heaven forbid if USM fans finally have some optimism.

For maybe the first time ever, I will use "butthurt" in a sentence.

The East Carolina fans were butthurt that they were ranked 4 spots behind Southern Miss.

if Tech could improve from 4-8, 3-5 (C-USA) in 2013 to 9–5, 7–1 in 2014 with the additional of Cody Sokol and Houston Bates then I think USM could run the table with their double digits of transfers. I don't think they rank USM too high but they definitely rank Tech too low.

All that matters is what happens on the field. I think the "experts" had our conference in about the same place before last year's season and we cleaned up. The only thing all these different pre-season rankings are good for are to get our collective gridiron juices flowing.
