FYI, the 2-3 nutty Tulane posters on here do not speak for the fanbase. Hopefully that is obvious.

I get that...but the eagle's response was great. I appreciate facetious sarcasm.

I respect you as a poster, but let's be honest here: with a fan base of 8-10 tops, 2-3 nutters is not an insignificant number.

Boise, since 1968, not 50 years but close, the first year they became a 4 year school their record is 409 - 154 - 2, for a winning % of 724, if you count the years they were a 2 year school it goes up about 10 more points.

I thought it was an arena league team:

X Located in middling city no one cares about
X Atrocious field/arena/uniform
X Famous for trick plays and gimmicks
X Locals think it's just the coolest

When Boise fan says "school" is he talking about community outreach events or seminars hosted by the local arena league team?

I'm a CAL ALUM you dipsht, I will put my school up against yours any day and twice on Sunday, and yes, I have been a Boise State fan for over 20 years because I like how they play.

Easy there little bronco. We've all watched an arena game or two. You've got nothing to be ashamed of.

Seen several Cincy fans complain about being in this league, if you want the league to look better how about try doing better than 1-5 against the P5 the last two years.

I swear, if a team was named after its fanbase you'd be cheering for the ECU Napoleonic Complex. Yeah, ECU beat VaTech but lost to UC, so don't puff your chest out too far. And as to the conference griping, I'm sure plenty of ECU fans complained about C-USA over the years. Get over it.
We only complained after we were added, most tried to rationalize that CUSA was somehow better

Last ECU vs Southern Miss game:

ECU 55 Southern Miss 14

Congrats! Only 15 more wins to go to even things up!

Hahaha, ECU will never schedule USM again. They have outgrown you just like we have. Southern Miss is the equivalent of scheduling an FCS school. Nobody wants to be associated with your pathetic, no market, redneck school. Just be glad they allow you to stay at the FBS level because we all know you do not belong as is evident by your years of suck.

1. I wouldn't take shots at other fanbases when we're the 9th rated party school. We're full of alcoholics and drug users that just so happen to be smart.

2. The NOLA market is currently owned by LSU. Americans are always going to ride the bandwagon before they show loyalty to local teams. This is why the market game is a dangerous game to play.

3. WTF are you so mad at USM for? They're one of the least obnoxious groups in the SE.

I'll bet lots of Tulane students are NOT alcoholics or drug users. I'll also bet many of them aren't particularly smart (but have rich daddies). That said, Tulane is a great school which brings class, tradition, academic excellence, big market and an enjoyable travel destination to the AAC. I'm proud for Memphis to be associated with that institution.

RE: Winningest Programs Last 50 Years
got this from the Boise State Scout Board
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AFA
Major College since 1957
All-time record: 362-304-13 (#64)
7 seasons ranked in final polls: #6, #11, #13, #5, #24, #25, #10 (last ranking was in 1998)
Major Bowl record: 0-1-1 (last played in Sugar Bowl in 1971)

Central Florida
IA since 1996
All-time record: 225-190-1 (#65)
Two seasons ranked in final polls: #10, #20
Major Bowl record: 1-0 (2014 Fiesta Bowl win over Baylor)

Cincinnati
Major College since 1946
All-time record: 592-568-50 (#81)
5 seasons ranked in final polls: #17, #17, #8, #21, #20 (all rankings between 2007-12)
Major Bowl record: 0-2 (2009 and 2010 beatdowns)

Colorado State
Major College since 1940
All-time record: 503-557-33 (#104)
3 seasons ranked in the final polls: #14, #15, #14 (last ranking in 2000)
Never played in major bowl

Fresno State
Division I since 1973
All-time record: 585-399-27 (#30)
3 seasons ranked in the final polls: #16, #22, #22 (last ranking in 2004)
Never played in major bowl

Houston
Major College since 1949
404-351-15 (#67)
16 rankings in the final polls: highs of #4 and #5, with 15 of the rankings between 1952-1990
Major Bowl record: 2-2 (last played in 1985)

Memphis
Major College since 1960
455-504-33 (#105)
2 rankings in the final polls: #14, #25
Never played in major bowl

San Diego State
Major College since 1969
516-409-32 (#55)
4 rankings in the final polls: #18, #20, #19, #16 (last ranked in 1977)
Never played in major bowl

USF
Division IA since 2001
117-96 (#61)
Never ranked in final polls
Never played in major bowl

BYU
Major college since 1938
552-405-27 (#41)
18 seasons ranked in final polls, with #1 and #5 finishes, all between 1977-2011
Major bowl record: 1-0 (1997 Cotton Bowl)

Boise State
IA since 1996
409-154-2 (#3)
10 seasons ranked in final polls: two top 5 rankings, and 9 top 15 rankings.
Major bowl record: 3-0

Only three teams are in the top 50 of overall record: Boise State, Fresno, and BYU
Only three teams with 10 or more seasons ranked in final polls: Boise State, Houston, and BYU (Houston has only one season ranked in last 24 years, though)
Only four teams with major bowl wins: UCF, Houston (last one back in 1985), BYU, and Boise State

Of these teams, Boise State and BYU are the only ones with sustained success over the last 20 years. Cincinnati could claim some success over the last 10 years, but it has not won a major bowl, and it's overall record is in the bottom 1/3 for major college football. Houston can claim some historic success, but it has to go back to the old SWC days to make any claim for consistent success on the football field. UCF can legitimately make some claim about being a fast riser, but it has yet to put together back-to-back successes.

It should be noted that Memphis and Colorado State are historically bad, very bad programs. Teams like SDSU and Fresno are good, but neither program has had a banner year. AFA has an impressive record, actually, but all of that occurred in the last century.

No, ECU would be in top 50 in wins and ECU has a major bowl win (Peach '91)

UCF can have back to back sucesses:

2012: 10-4
2013: 12-1
2014: 9-4
2015: TBD

Cincinnati
Major College since 1946
All-time record: 592-568-50 (#81)
5 seasons ranked in final polls: #17, #17, #8, #21, #20 (all rankings between 2007-12)
Major Bowl record: 0-2 (2009 and 2010 beatdowns)

Not trying to split hairs here but we lost the 2009 Orange Bowl by a score of 20-7. We were only three at the half. UC actually outgained VT on offense but we had 4 INTs (including couple in the end zone) and couldn't convert on 4th and inches on the goal line in the fourth quarter. It was hardly a "beatdown"-- hell we should have won that game fairly comfortably.

Edit: I only bring this up because I have read repeatedly for the last 5-6 years how we got beat like no other team has ever been beaten before or since.

Bad? Memphis was beating SEC teams decades before Boise even graduated from the junior college ranks. One of the 4 factors of winning is who you play. How many of the Top 20 winning teams has Boise beaten? The blue field sucks, by the way.
