Southern Miss is Charlotte's, I'm unaware if we are anyone else's. The only other Saturday home game we have in October is Marshall on Halloween, it pretty much had to be Southern Miss for us.

Pretty sure WKU is at LSU for their homecoming.

This may be naive, but I'll ask anyway. Since the conference sets the schedules, does it really matter much any more who is scheduled for homecoming? I'm sure in years past, a team was scheduled to give the maximum chance for a victory on this important day, but I wonder if that has any relevance any more since the AD doesn't set the conference schedule.

I think you are generally going to factor in several priorities and then pick based on available dates. Some ADs may put more weight in a game against a rival, or others in whatever the "easiest game". There's only going to be a a few games that fall within the typical homecoming season. You pick based on what's within your control is my guess.

We are also Kansas State's homecoming...which is probably the earliest HC game I've ever seen (Sept. 19) at any school.

I predict that Tech will drop a turd in the Homecoming punchbowl of Moo State.

It was either Louisiana Tech or Iowa State (November 21st) for their homecoming game. The three home games at Kansas State sandwiched in between Tech and Iowa State are TCU, Oklahoma, and Baylor. No way KSU picks any of those three games as their HC opponent.

We've gone from 17 consecutive winning seasons to being the homecoming opponent for a football program that didn't exist 5 years ago.
