If I have to pick between a football game and my 5 year old, I'm picking my 5 year old. Every. Damn. Time.

My 3 yr old (last year) loved Tiger Lane trick or treating before the game. This year (now 4) has her own season ticket and will be at the game as well, hopefully racking up on the tons of candy given out prior to the game by generous Tiger Laners again this year.

Is there a specific age that a kid has to have their own ticket for football games? I am sure I could find that on their site, but I am feeling lazy at 4:45...

If not, consider taking them trick or treating on Tiger Lane. Drunks usually tend to be generous.

It can be tough to persuade 6 and 7 year olds not to spend Halloween with their neighborhood friends and go trick or treat at a football game.

I was at the halloween game last year, tiger lane would not have been as fun for my girls.

My daughter was 5 for last year's game. She came home with three full bags of candy and said it was the best Halloween ever. She got much more candy than she would have ever got in our neighborhood in much less time. She got to have more interaction with the folks giving out the candy, rather than just having it dropped in her bag and then running to the next house. She already asked about trick or treating there this yr.

Just curious, why do you think they wouldn't have had fun?

Mainly their best friends live next door and their cousins always come over for Halloween. It's not about getting a lot of candy, it's a big neighbrhood shindig with their friends and cousins, hayrides, etc. Walking around Tiger Lane is a fun Halloween experience for a lot of kids, it just wouldn't beat the experience at home with friends and family.

Now hopefully when they get a little older, they will prefer to go to the football games.

Bring the whole neighborhood! Other than the hayride it could be just as great if not better. Plus the kids get a whole football stadium to run around in after trick or treating. I know our tailgate group made sure all the kids that came by left very happy. The adults got a nice margarita as well to calm the nerves.

yep. bring them all. There will be a concert and drinks for the adults and the kids will have a cool place to play that is safe. I will bet they ever get a ride on the blue firetruck (maybe that will make up for the hay).

I went to the Halloween game last year. Great fun for all. Not an issue, IMO.

The weather is another issue altogether. I went to 3 games in Memphis last year, and all 3 had weather problems. The only good weather was in NOLA, where I went to the Tulane game.

Maybe we'll have better luck this season.

That Halloween game was brutal, especially if you brought your kids to it. The wind was awful.

My two year old was freezing and he hates strong wind. He and I had to go home.

I agree. Last year's games had a horrible weather.
