No way however was She "Murdered" in jail.

He escalated the situation. First, there was no reason for the stop. Second, it's her vehicle, she can smoke all she likes. Third, she doesn't have to leave her vehicle unless she is being detained or arrested. The officer did neither. The officer is actually very much in the wrong in the way he handled this.

Trooper Brian Encinia, stopped Bland on July 10 for failing to signal a lane change near the campus of Prairie View A&M University, the historically black college from which she graduated in 2009 and at which she was interviewing for a job.

Something that every poster in this room does about 5 times a day. The cop sped up behind her and I believe that she said that she was trying to get out of his way.

Do you know why he is speeding up behind you?

I'll give you a little lesson from a former LEO. First, he is trying to read your license #, color, make of vehicle to dispatch and to see if there is any craziness going on inside car (for example, cell phone use, unbuckled passengers, hiding drugs/weapons, identifying how many passengers etc). He needs to know if this car is the correct make and model (make sure not stolen) and if the registered owner has any warrants for his arrest.

We wouldn't want a LEO approaching a vehicle who is a possible felon or wanted from the law.

There's no need to swerve to another lane when LEO is behind you. This isn't a video game
So it is acceptable for a police officer to speed in order to check out a random car just to see if those things are occurring in a car? That is unacceptable.

For MSNBC to go there is irrresponsible when all facts show otherwise.

They are RACE BAITING. This is the only way they can attract an audience.

What facts? Like she lived in a largely white community and has never(as far as we know but given this story has been out there for a while now Fox would have found dirt on her by now) never had a problem before and of course, I am sure it makes a lot of sense to off herself when she was going to a job interview.

As long as he is doing so in he performance of his duties it is perfectly legal in SC.

She had massive levels of marijuana in her system.

She had a history of suicide attempts.

She told her mother she was going to Texas to correct "injustices done to black people", like in Ferguson.

She was on a mission to confront the police.

Being a deliberate a-hole is not a crime. Agree that no way she was murdered in jail.

Yeah, but not being an a-hole is a pretty good way to ensure you don't poss of a cop. Police miscont occurs literally less than 1% of the time when arrests are made. These guys do a great job overall.

She was an unstable time bomb, and she went off.

Some of what you mentioned had not been reported anywhere that I know of. Do you have a link for this information?

It's all over the news, except my editorial: "She was an unstable time bomb, and she went off".

Just another Media Hyped, Non issue, local news story to get "Democrat voters" riled up to go out and vote as the Democrat candidates are too far weak to cause excitement on Their own accord.
