Interesting graphic. Amazing we hear so much about the B12 being picked apart yet the per team payout to the ACC is less. Nice to see the American as best among the G5.

Geez that chart makes our conference seem so insignificant in the college football world, which we probably are as much as we all would hate to admit it.

The American will never be perceived as a big time football conference. Our schools will take decades to become brand name football schools. The only realistic chance at success is to have decent football but try to get basketball to be perceived as elite. Like top 3 conferences level elite.

We HAVE to try to get a decent TV deal this next term. At least 7-9 to get us over the 10 million in revenue per school mark.

I just don't see it happening. They could double it and we'd just be where the Big East is now.

We have got to get the money that we can control. Meaning we need to put a team in the access bowl and we need to win more NCAA tournament games. Only way we are going to get more money unless ESPN ups are TV revenue. That way we can at least get over the $5 million amount.

It's going to get better; we'll separate ourselves from the rest of the G5.

I don't see how this graphic could possibly be correct... The BE is getting $6mm/team/year out of their TV contract, which would make them the 6th place conference.

But even if it is correct, all it shows is just how untenable the prospect of the AAC competing in the future is.

We need a team or two to have undefeated type seasons and do what Boise has done. That will help. It's a good conference but we need some undefeated teams to move up. It's hard to do.

Even if so, this conference will never make more than a small fraction of what a P5 makes.

If the AAC could consistently get the access bowl, we could separate from the MWC...

Boise St gets in the way. They have more sustainability than I thought.
