Oh, I get it. They were the debate team's answer to the first black president argument. They were rewarded because they were black and not because of their expertise. Got it.

Pointing out that what those fools did was not debate is "Racsiss!"
Quote:On March 24, 2014 at the Cross Examination Debate Association (CEDA) Championships at Indiana University, two Towson University students, Ameena Ruffin and Korey Johnson, became the first African-American women to win a national college debate tournament, for which the resolution asked whether the U.S. president’s war powers should be restricted. Rather than address the resolution straight on, Ruffin and Johnson, along with other teams of African-Americans, attacked its premise. The more pressing issue, they argued, is how the U.S. government is at war with poor black communities.
In the final round, Ruffin and Johnson squared off against Rashid Campbell and George Lee from the University of Oklahoma, two highly accomplished African-American debaters with distinctive dreadlocks and dashikis. Over four hours, the two teams engaged in a heated discussion of concepts like “nigga authenticity” and performed hip-hop and spoken-word poetry in the traditional timed format. At one point during Lee’s rebuttal, the clock ran out but he refused to yield the floor. “**** the time!” he yelled.
You love some racial issues. Sure that you aren't ERC?

Holy sh*t, it's getting weird.
That guy deserves a swift kick in the nuts for defending this horrible form of debate. Not only were the debaters incoherent, poorly spoken people...they were also racists pigs that were hell bent on taking a perfectly good subject for debate and turing it into their own evangelical rant aimed at white people. I find this entire form of debate a despicable exercise and the contestants equally despicable.
I noticed there was a white debate group in the background. I wonder how they felt having to endure this charade of babbling, incoherent nonsense and then see them actually win. Damn.

Let's just ignore the content of their rambling, incoherent and racists diatribes. We understand they are just expressing themselves in the best way they know how. Never mind the rules...Never mind civil debate...Never mind decorum and protocol, because these fine young African Americans get a pass. They are special. We must allow them to be themselves....and....then reward them for it.

That wasn't debate. It was gibberish. Only in leftist academia world would that be lauded as 'excellence.' And we wonder why academic standards seem to be eroding and kids graduate college and know little.
That smug pompous jerk lecturing all of us and his immediate jump to racism made me want to punch that face.
With leaders of the future like this, I see we'll be in good hands......

that's actually funny.....whatever happened to that doo-sh-bag

So was their win an example of black privilege? You don't have to be good at what you do as long as you play the race card; you just get given points for skin color.
That was the worst debate I've ever seen. I would have given them a zero for dodging the question.
