@edmillervp: New Mexico Juco G Randy Haynes is visiting #odu today. Played at Potomac HS. Monarch team camp begins this evening, thru Sunday.

@JucoHoopsNation: Randy Haynes (6'5/G/2016) of New Mexico JC. Will definitely be one of the top sophomores in the country. Kid is crazy athletic! @rah_online

Along with Randy, we hosted from Boo Williams 2017s Devante Carter, Marquis Godwin, Dajour Dickens, and Travis Ingram today. Couple of high targets in this group for us.

KJ Davis a 6-5, SF/wing, from IC Norcom, picked up an offer this past weekend during the ODU Team Camps.

ODU has offered '16 J.J. Matthews, 6'8" PF, Midlothian, VA., Millwood School / River City Reign.

Cool. What is millwood school? I grew up in Richmond and don't recall.

Did some research, I'm here in Richmond area too. Small private school maybe 200 students in the Woodlake community in southside.

Kid moves well, didn't show a whole lot of jumpshots in that vid, but he hit a three, definitely has the physical gifts needed.

What is Kah? Like 26 or 27 yrs old now?

Here is how I would rank the Top 5 2016/17 targets in order of importance when factoring in realism.

1) Xavier Green (2016)
2) Marquis Godwin (2017)
3) Justice Kithcart (2016)
4) Aamir Sims (2017)
5) Richard Washington (2016)

Not sure if we are still on Washington as he's getting ACC offers.

Getting one of them would be huge.

Kah is an interesting story. He must be determined to get an education and play bball. This is one case where the NCAA is willing to make an exception to the rule.I do know he wants to come to ODU and from what I have been told he he will be a welcome addition if everything works out.

He said he was factoring in realism. Coleman is getting looks from UNC and has offers from UVA, Memphis & Texas.

Coleman would be a huge get, but it would have to be pure luck (sentimental pick). With the list of schools offering, it is out of our hands. Conference affiliation also hurts. If he wants to stay home so his family can see more games, they'd probably get to see more if he went to UNC or UVA whereas, among those two, Pitt, VT, NC State, Duke, and Wake Forest are all reasonably close for an inexpensive trip. In CUSA it is just Charlotte. We have hometown hero going for us, but as I said, it would have to be a sentimental pick and is out of our hands.
