I would hate to see them work on the east side and not address the light standards in FRONT of the stands.
Bingo or at least plan so as to not interfere with moving those in the future in mind.
Redoing half the stadium would be an enormous task in these budget years with all the other university needs.
I think "just a redo" of the underside is a big deal and am looking forward to what they come up with. ANYTHING that's brighter and more blood pumping for the game will be a win. Hope they don't get too caught up in pragmatics and consider saving a bit for the atmosphere created. They did such a good job with that at the b-ball arena. You can get really pumped walking by the gym, seeing all the history....
My wish list would be something more futuristic, as if it were alums 30-50 years in the future looking at UT history.
My alum arena has video boards playing old clips, showing the history..., These are cheap to do now a days, I would like to see something like that, something maybe even in a futuristic setting, artistic using stainless or ceramics, LEDs or neons...
If I had the $$$, I'd use the 3-D imaging tech they have over the medical college, find old images and videos of UT sports and combine them for people to walk through. THAT would be a museum.
