+1. Some people are just naturally negative. There are some serious obstacles NIU has to deal with when scheduling home games. Going from Idaho to BC is pretty fantastic.

Its too bad NIU did not have a bigger name opponent on Sep 3, 2016. Huskies will be @ Wyoming. I guess everyone is touting this as the best day in the history of college football
– USC vs. Alabama (at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas)
– Notre Dame at Texas
– UCLA at Texas A&M
– LSU vs. Wisconsin (at Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin)
– Georgia vs. North Carolina (at Georgia Dome, Atlanta)
– Clemson at Auburn
– Oklahoma vs. Houston (at NRG Stadium, Houston)
– Missouri at West Virginia
– BYU vs. Arizona (at University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Ariz

First off, I never said it was no big deal to bring those type of programs into Huskie Stadium for a home football game because it is. My point was, is that those school have bigger status than NIU obviously, but they are really not considered "big boys" on the national radar for P5 programs. If SF is smart, he could build something special at NIU, and if that is noticed as it should be, he could be in line for a MUCH bigger promotion than to just Pitt/BC/Syracuse.

Atleast playing Wyoming is much better than playing Presbyterian.

how often do we see someone from a MAC school jump straight to one of the true 'big boys' without an intermediate stop at a school that is somewhere in between? Jim Phillips - to Northwestern....Coach Kill to Minnesota, Coach Doeren to NC State. you don't get promoted from the mail room to CEO no matter how good you are in the mail room. you stair step your way to the top.

I screwed up by reading the newest post of the thread in two seconds and making up the context in my head. I thought we were hating on the schedule upgrades. My fault. I'm dumb.

The fact that all you can mention is one letter of spelling being off proves my point.
Thank you.

I hope Sean Frazier stays at NIU until he retires.
I will be at the Wyoming game...greatest state in the Union.

+1. Some of us don't have time to give a rhetoric or defend every f*king comment made. Some idiots want to banter on like an old women.

Prarie I agree with you, that would be great. One thing that leads me to believe he might just do that and be that kind of guy is the comment he made during his ice bucket challenge video. He challenged his good friend Mike O'Brien (MOB) at UT that he admires and respects. If you admire someone and respect someone then maybe you are ok doing just what they have done, make something of NIU over a long period of time. His vision is long term so makesme think he sticks to it. He is doing many of the same things MOB has done and is doing at UT so maybe he will be your guy long term just like MOB has been our guy long term. Going to big schools isn't for everyone, so fingers crossed. MOB got an extension through 2020 just last year. I think he has been at UT for at least 12 years if not more. Here is to hoping that your guy is different too and stays a long time. What is good for NIU is good for UT and the entire MAC and vise versa.
