Watts and the board simply had no choice. This was a major victory in the battle but make no mistake. We have been severely wounded and there are more battles ahead to gain our freedom. I think the one thing this victory ensures is UAB football will not be harmed on this level again. They may try to knee cap us but this is why we continue to fight. We push board reform next year.

They should feel happy they knee capped us for a while we can finally build some facilities.

If not for the persistent groundswell from us common folk, that never happens.

I believe Watts will be gone within 6 months. The same Businessman who appointed him as the leader of the BB is now correcting a mistake. I believe they see how unprepared he was for the Majors.

I'd go with fire watts today. Bring in this guy for an interim Presidency

http://www.bizjournals.com/birmingham/ne...nt-of.html

until a search can bring in a full time person.

My wife heard from a source close to the top in administration at UAB and he thinks Watts will be gone within 12 months. Also, he stated that Watts' wife was being a total biatch during the Q&A session of Monday's press conference. Calling out media members if she didn't like the question. I had no idea Watts was married to a feisty Italian from New York City.

She must be the one you can hear murmur in the background after Scarbinsky asked his "not a fair question" question.

According to Forbes article today, Watts is too good for a mediocre school like UAB anyway. I wish he'd leave as well.

Yeah, but please enlighten me on who's going to hire a guy at $845,000 salary that can't seem to get through a feel good presser without making it out to be something an indictment. He doesn't inspire confidence, he doesn't come across as well rounded, and for a highly educated person doesn't seem to grasp the idea of deflection with a smile versus mean red face tantrums.

Who would hire him after the absolutely abysmal way he handled this whole fiasco?

By all means, all those people beating a path to his door should be answered.

At least one of them, anyway. Please?
