Unfortunately NIU is not listed

I can not argue with the logic that is listed in the article especially when they say "Big 12 teams aren't going to want to sacrifice per-team payouts from the conference just to add two more teams, even if it means the conference will be able to have a football title game."

At this point, all NIU can do is just do what they have been doing. NIU has done everything it can do including plans for stadium expansion, significantly upgraded home schedule, etc. In 2 or 3 years down the road, lets see where everything falls out. If NIU can stay the course combined with the lucrative Chicago TV market, it should give them a great chance. No use worrying about things NIU can't control.

We are 10 years away from being ready for the Big 12. I seriously doubt they will wait that long to expand. We need the facility upgrades and fan support to get the attention of a P5 conference and that is a work in progress that will not be completed in 2-3 years.

We aren't even close to Big 12 level. Why worry about it?

Our Huskie fellows can't bring in enough peoples to fill a stadium right now. Does you want to expand that stadium? Does ya think peoples are gonna shows up to watch Central Michigan?

Juicy knows that won't happen. Nobody cares about them pesky MAC teams. Everybody cares about them fancy pants Big 12 squads, though.

Soes build a stadium just in case, that's what Juicy says. Spends all that money. Eighty thousand seats. Does ya want to be a little smaller timer or a giant bigger timer? Gotta build it or nobody will love you. 'Course, nobody may love you even if you gots a fancy house. Catch that 22, my cuddly Huskies.

Looks like Juicy's back.

Basically, the Huskies can't draw big crowds, because they play MAC teams, and they can't move up to a higher conference, because they can't draw big crowds.

They best the Huskies can do is keep winning championships and start winning bowl games.

Anybody else read Juicy's comments as a creepy clown voice in their heads? I can't help it.

Death Penalty...5 yrs....10.... for ND football is what Chicago needs. They are basically same proximity to DT Chicago. Look up a recent pool of FB users liking college football teams. I think it was 4% of those like ND actually went there. I also found it odd that only 9% of NW likes were alumni. Small base not of your own grads is even worse.
