Some attention on former ODU QB Taylor Heinicke
Even though ECU 04-chairshot Heinicke and ODU in their one football game. I left impressed with the QB. Though undersized he showed a good arm and command of the offense and teammates. Article is about his trying to stick with the Vikings. Best of Luck.

I think he has a real good shot at becoming a backup for the vikes and who knows he may well be the QB who replaces Teddy Bridgewater

He's smaller, better have a strong arm cause you can't dance around like in college. At least he is taller and better than Cato.

Sad that is the highlight of your program. Guess it is a compliment. I'm not sure if ours is WVU, UNC, NCState, Miami, VirginiaTech, Syracuse, South Carolina.... Oh that's right we don't care. Only focus is next season and today.

ECU fans still bitter about Marshall. What a shock. Good luck next season, enjoy that 6-6 record.

ECU has finished ranked in either major poll since 1995 when you finished 20th in the Coaches Poll. You have only finished ranked a total of 3 times.

In fact, there is only 1 time in the HISTORY of your program that you finished the season ranked in both polls (1991.)

Marshall (who has less time in FBS) has finished ranked a total of 4 different seasons. 1999. 2001, 2002, 2014

We have finished ranked in both major polls a total of 3 times.

ODU must be big time now. You know that's a fact when Marshall and ECU are measuring peters in a thread about your NFL QB. 05-stirthepot

I'm looking through the NFL rosters and can't find Cato. Anyone know what team he's with? I know where ODU's QB is but can't find Cato anywhere. 03-nutkick

Isn't football a team game? Those two QBs will progress in the pros more to their own ability than their teams ability. I was impressed with both.

I was very impressed by both of those qb's as well. As for their futures, who knows how it will all pan out for them. I wish them noth the best.

I have posted a piece from the Huntington Herald-Dispatch about why Cato possibly didn't get a UDFA contract with an NFL team. It strongly suggests that he just didn't take enough of the right actions (i.e. addindg body weight) after his final snap for Marshall in order to earn it.

I thought we had all accepted the reality that Heinicke threads always lead to disaster.

And we STILL finished ranked ahead of you!!! You're not making a real good case. Now stop being a 10-gallon asshat and run along back to 6-6 and mediocrity.

I feel as though if TH were in the Marshall system, he could have done very well. As good as Cato??? Perhaps, but unfortunately, we will never know.

Cato could have possibly done very well if he had been in ODU's system. They were both great college qb's.
