More excited than when they played near where you live and you didn't go to the game, didn't know they were playing, and didn't care when you found out? Quite an accomplishment. Congrats.

RE: Damon Stoudamire's Interview With Sports 56
The change was coming. It was expected so the impression that Aki was "unceremoniously" dismissed is a misnomer. Aki had some issues that had to be addressed. The make up of the staff was not balanced. There were trust issues and assignment issues that impacted the entire team. Missing a lead assistant for the year is a big deal.

Josh knew he had misfired on guard talent for last year. He openly said it would be a crap shoot and it was. Kedren was an even bigger disappointment when they discovered how out of shape he had become.

It's still the responsibility of the head coach to make sure that talent gaps don't happen. It's still his responsibility to make sure the family of coaches all fit a piece of the pie wedge to make a complete circle. It is still ghis responsibility that he finds guys to address his own weaknesses. That the family was dysfunctional was painfully obvious and he corrected it. It just so happened that Stoudamire was ready to make a change and he was able to step into the role of lead assistant. Josh and Damon have a strong trusting relationship. Recruits like him, parents like him, local coaches like him. He has a pedigree as a college player, an NBA player and as a recruiter and coach.

Josh doesn't fear Damon is there to steal his job. If Josh leaves then Damon would be a prime candidate but he has some things to learn just like Josh has had to learn.

Accept that hiring Damon Stoudamire is a good thing for the Tigers and it's a good thing for Josh and I think it's a really good thing for Damon. No ulterior motives. Nothing sinister. Just good business.

Should be an interesting season. Sounds like he's not going to put up with stuff that Josh has and will be very vocal and up front. Wonder how Josh will feel about it?

Josh is the HC...Damon is an asst...end of story.

Essentially what is his WAR compared to replacing Aki?

Gonna be interesting considering a certain website reporter made the claim about how much Aki was missed last season.

Every lead assistant would be missed. If not, teams wouldn't have them. Is this some sort of mystery to you that needs sorting out?

Yeah I can tell by how he was unceremoniously dumped

By dumped you mean hired away by a power school that is also where he played ball, right? lol

What lesson is that? That the occasional 1 month vacation is well worth it when every time, a dozen of your buddies get taken out with me? I don't know why you are complaining. I have stopped calling idiots and morons, idiots and morons. You should be happy.

RE: Damon Stoudamire's Interview With Sports 56
A question about Kedren being out of shape...
How long will this be the excuse?
I know young men and women join the Army 'out of shape' every day. Usually by week 6 ir 7 in training...after all the running and all...they are in pretty good shape. A basketball season lasts longer than 6 or 7 weeks.

I don't think it was all being 'out of shape', I'd say another part of it lies between Kedren's ears and his chest...you cannot MAKE someone want to work hard or have heart....they either do or they don't.
