Watts has lied and lied again. I've lost count of how many times he has lied to the media and the university. Watts reflects the Bryant-Bank BOT he works for.

Not surprised this was Watts and the BOT's plan. Somewhat surprised these documents have been uncovered prior to their destruction by the BOT and UAB as this will be very incriminating.

If this doesn't remove him, he ain't leaving.

The BOt may remove him to save their butts.

Who was paying for this PR firm? The taxpayers? How much were they paid?

Now the BoT has the cover they need to force Watts to retire. They can place Lucas in charge until they find the next puppet to continue to run their plan; it will be interesting to see what she does during this coming summer of our discontent. We all knew this would happen; we need to make sure the we keep the heat on the BoT while they choose the next president.

This situation has proven that we must start over. The higher level administrators both at UAB and in the BOT are all implicated in this. UAB must clean house.

No retirement, no pension: immediate termination for cause.

Bill Clark should file suit today for triple damages because of hiring fraud. A good plaintiffs attorney should be able to get him somewhere in excess of $5 million.

I've said it before, but I don't see how Watts survives this latest round of info. This will be a lightning rod in the legislature. If the BOT is smart, they'll remove Watts in an attempt to fight off BOT reform.

Gotta love the talking points deflecting the criticism of the BOT.

as stated above everyone in upper administration is implicated. UAB needs a house cleaning. Also no AD should be hired under this administration.

If the legisture is smart, that would allow UAB to have it's own BOT.

Obviously, this is proof that Watt's decision was premeditated, but also consider the time it probably took to solicit the PR firm, and the time it took to prepare these documents. We already know the scope of the Carr report was changed drastically at one point. The earliest date I see in the documents is August 11, 2014, the week Carr Consulting was to send its report.

Reading between the lines, it seems like Watts wanted to end the program as soon as possible, and the PR firm was operating on that timeline; however, on Carr's recommendation, and presumably after SVC did some research, the two firms walked Watts away from the cliff.
