So the author has sources that say Eastern Kentucky is being pushed by eastern schools? Or is he just spitballin'it like the rest of the article?

I would be surprised if EKU has much support from Ga Southern or Ga State. I doubt App St is "infatuated" with them either. Does he think Troy or USA are pushing them?

It seems to be a location that is reasonably close to the most programs. The city is more likely to embrace us than Atlanta.

When you stretch from west texas to North Carolina and Georgia there is no ideal place, if it's all about attendance have the higher seed host. A big part of the problem of the SBC tourney being in nola, is its not actually in Nola. Also not having the tourney field decided makes it hard for people to make reservations... Especially flights. If everyone knew their team was in the tourney no matter what, more people could make plans in advance.

EKU had 3,500 people show up for a playoff game after one of their best seasons in years. Plus they are not close to GaSt or GS. I seriously doubt EKU has much support.

It sounds like the "journalist" is more of a message board poster that is upset NMSU isn't getting invited so he throws out the EKU comment that is based on nothing.

Could be, but then again you support an eastern school. It will be interesting spring meetings indeed.

If Benson says that NMSU is not getting in ...... then I'd say you can book it and welcome NMSU in all sports.

Easy fix - Karl has total control on how to distribute the NCAA payout from the NCAA win starting in 2016.

Don't distribute the $ to those backward, hillbilly institutions that don't want to vote them in .. since they obviously don't care about NCAA basketball money!
