there was only 1 year he didn't win the reg ular season title too. If he HADN'T won any regular season titles you trolls would be whining about THAT too.

At a football school. Grant made the ncaa 2 years. Made an nit championship appearance in another. Averaged 20 wins per season in a better league. Was known for impeccable character & great recruiting. Was actually already proven as a good coach at vcu. Was just fired for finishing 18-14 after 6 years in a league that got 5 bids.

Yet for pretty much having the same resumé save for cjp having the CupcakeUSA to pad a few more wins in, cjp keeps his job at a basketball school.... 01-wingedeagle

The premise of this thread was that one coach got fired for a 18-14 record and the other guy who went 18-14 kept his job, so here comes good ol CUSA no doubt to tell us it is a black/white thing.
No, it is a success thing. HOW many GOOD coaches are going to apply knowing that 1 bad year could get them canned?
