Buy your tickets before 2 tomorrow.

Kentucky fans have away of finding tickets. They will buy them up as soon as they are opened to the public tomorrow.

NCAA Tournament Louisville Session 1

5 and a half hour drive from Birmingham is easy. Mega Bus has a bus that runs from Birmingham to Atlanta, and Atlanta to Louisville. Greyhound also has a few decent options.

Thinking this thru, having Kentucky there might make tickets easy to find for UAB fans. We will be in a different session from their game, so a lot of UK fans will be willing to dump the session their team is not playing in. If you can't get tickets thru UAB, you can finally find tickets for UAB's session from Kentucky fans

The tickets are being sold on a per-session basis from what I was told. Why would Kentucky fans get tickets to a session they aren't if, if they don't plan on attending those games?

I was assuming that like all previous NCAA tournaments I've bought tickets to, an all session ticket was the only option. The session one tickets on Stub Hub are probably Kentucky fans dumping the session they won't be playing in, since they will be a prime time game

When I asked about buying tickets from our ticket people today, they said Thursday was split into 2 sessions, and our tickets would only be for the session we are in. 2 games. They also told me it would be from $100-200 a ticket.

RE: blazer fans: if you are thinking of going to Louisville.
That is probably correct for the tickets allocated to the school. But I am sure all session tickets have been available to the public for months. And Kentucky fans most likely have already bought those up, knowing they would be going to Louisville as the overall #1 seed. That's why so many session one tickets are available at stub hub.

And I'm surprised you are taking the word of someone in our ticket office as gospel

I didn't say I took it as gospel. I was just saying what they said.

Risky for Kentucky fans to buy out those tickets so early considering it was a controversial move to give Kentucky the regional and bracket advantage. I was surprised the committee put them in Louisville.

Duke or UNC always play in Greensboro or Charlotte. With the year Kentucky has had, there was a 100% chance they would be in Louisville.

And even in previous years, Kentucky fans have been known to buy tickets in several regions, and then sell off the ones that Kentucky is not in. Kentucky fans have historically (even before Calipari) been famous for finding tickets when tickets can't be found.

Can we only purchase tickets to session one? Do we have option to purchase for session 3 on Saturday? I assume we have to win to get the Saturday session. Does anyone know?

Just got off the phone with the ticket office. They are taking request from boosters and will hand out tickets from top to bottom. They are also taking request for the 3rd round game as well in the event we win on Thursday. They don't have any definate on price yet, but they are saying it will be in the $100 range.

The good news is that it looks like the UK crowd has dumped their first session tickets. StubHub now has them as cheap as $29 for the upper corners.

Just bought 2 lower section tickets for 100.00 a piece via UAB. It's only a request at this time, however. They'll go from top to bottom based on your booster points. If we win, UAB will be in contact with those who've bought tickets and the process will start over for Saturday.

100% chance there will be nose bleed seats available via ticket sites. This session won't sale out.

The year the Georgia Dome got hit by a tornado, Kentucky's game with UGa got moved to Ga. Tech on maybe 12 hours notice and was supposed to be open to "family members" only. Blue outnumbered red 3-1. In Atlanta.

Got 3 tickets in the upper deck for $14 each at VividSeats. With shipping (Next Day FedEx) and handling it was a total of $65. Not great seats but a nice price.

Not a bad seat in YUM. I'd certainly try to get in the middle upper deck though.

I ended up cancelling my reservation with the athletic department and picked up two upper level tickets on row B for $66 through StubHub.
