Men Second Round
Somebody should have warned the fans that the game of basketball was going to take a step backwards. This is hard to watch.

RE: Men Second Round
Western not playing well or particularly hard, yet down by less than 10 at the half. Their effort on defense was such that Reggie McAdams was able to drive baseline and slam it home.

RE: Men Second Round
Dambrot with a technical because he was rightly unhappy about a charging call. Ball don't lie; David Brown bricks both FTs.

Ball don't lie didn't apply there. Dambrot was rightly unhappy but certainly earned his technical foul. He pulled a Hurley. On the court.

Akron takes care of WMU. Quarterfinals are set.

6 teams left...3 from the west and 3 from the east. EMU, Toledo, and CMU on one side of the bracket, with KSU, Akron, and Buffalo on the other. Pretty cool how that worked out.

What I think is cool is the fact that Eastern Michigan won. I wasn't expecting that at all but I have to admit they are playing well right now. Never know what will happen in the tournament when a team, any team, gets hot.

And as I said on the CMU board, Western Michigan is a much better team than they showed tonight. It was just one of those nights. CMU had a few games like that as well during the regular season. Stuff happens.
